Welcome to Eagle Fang Karate

Following in the footsteps of the Karate Kid movies, Cobra Kai is a direct-to-streaming TV series that revolves around the antagonist of the original film, Johnny Lawrence (played by William Zabka). It differs, however, in that it takes place decades later.

Johnny, having been greatly affected by his time learning under John Creese (Martin Kove), during which he was attacked for losing a tournament, is now working as a handyman in Los Angeles. The wealthy lifestyle and social standing of his youth have been replaced by a modest apartment and a series of personal misfortunes. To recapture some of his former glory, Johnny determines to reopen the Cobra Kai dojo, where he was trained.

Things are not so simple, though. Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) enters his life again, their rivalry reignited by Johnny’s impromptu return to martial arts. And he is not the only familiar face in town. Kreese is back, and he has his sights set on reclaiming ownership of the Cobra Kai dojo, forcing Johnny to make a difficult decision. Can he put aside his old rivalry with Daniel and work together against a common foe?
