Simply awesome set
I love this set and so do my kids! It's difficult to find sets these days that appeal to the kid in me and remind me of the Lego I used to play with and also appeal to my kids (6 and 8) but this set manages it. I really enjoyed building it, lots of different challenging parts and not too much repetition. It's also got enough play aspects for the kids to get lots out of it. Not the easiest to run around the room playing dog fights with but the handle up top does help. We tend to play with this more on the floor or the table. Figures are good that come with the set, I have not seen the Bail one elsewhere. Kids are also getting into the old Star Wars Rebel show where a version of this ship features which they really like. Tricky to get hold of this set now which is a shame.

Lego Tantive IV
I purchased this set just before Christmas and I'm so happy with it. As a build it has just that right balance of intricate creative techniques along with areas of repetition that can allow you to get into a nice flow and rhythm. Once completed it looks awesome when compared to the previous releases of this model. The figure selection is good with two alternative leg/dress pieces for Leia. Playability wise there are a few small open spaces like the cockpit, the conference room on the centre and the escape pods and some small storage for weapons towards the rear. Although I do see this at the price point of being more a display piece. Altogether an excellent set.
