Iron Studios Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo Art Scale 1/10 Statue
£219.99
Iron Studios brings the leader of the turtle brothers in a new statue based on the movie from 1990!
In the underground galleries, the heroic anthropomorphic mutant turtle, along with his brothers trained in the arts of ninjutsu since he was a hatchling, wearing a blue bandana and a pair of brown elbow and knee pads, tenses his muscles as he firmly holds his two katanas, the iconic weapons that are his signature in battle.
With a canister at his feet containing the mutagenic agent called Ooze, a green viscous substance that alters the genetic structure of all organisms it contacts, responsible for the mutation that turned him and his brothers into what they are, he is ready to do whatever it takes to ensure that this substance does not fall into
the wrong hands. Iron Studios presents the statue “Leonardo - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie - Art Scale 1/10”, completing the group of Ninja Turtles, featuring the fearless and prominent field commander of the mutant protectors of New York.
Created in the comic books by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) became a phenomenal successful in the 1980s, expanding into a multimedia franchise and gaining a legion of fans worldwide. Consisting of four young mutant turtles with humanoid traits, genetically altered by a viscous
substance known as Mutagen or Ooze, the brothers in the group gained their father figure and Sensei in the form of an anthropomorphic rat named Splinter, who named them after Italian Renaissance artists. Their home and base of operations in New York is in the sewers, where they remain hidden during the day and go
out on their missions at night. Their greatest archenemy is Shredder, the leader of the Foot Clan. Directed by Steve Barron, the 1990 independent film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles presents the origin story of Splinter and the Turtles, their initial encounter with reporter April O’Neil and vigilante Casey Jones, and their first
confrontation with the villain Shredder and his criminal ninja group, the Foot Clan. Leonardo, known as Leo to his brothers, is the leader of the genetically modified turtle group. Tactical, bold, and a dedicated student of his Sensei, Leonardo wears a blue mask and wields two long and sharp swords (fused katanas and
ninja-tos). As the eldest of the four, he often carries the weight of responsibility for his brothers, which usually leads to conflict with Raphael. His name is inspired by the Italian polymath, painter, engineer, inventor, writer, anatomist, and sculptor Leonardo da Vinci. The figure is based on the 1990 film.
