Leader Of The Pack
Jurassic Park is a series of blockbuster movies featuring a whole host of recognisable dinosaurs. Among them are the Velociraptors, flesh-eating predators with an intelligence that makes them fearsome despite their moderate size. Audiences first encountered these creatures in the preliminary instalment of the franchise, the plot of which is catalysed by a raptor's killing of a handler working at the titular attraction.
Throughout the course of the films, the raptors continue to play an important role, predominantly that of a villainous force. However, Jurassic World and its direct sequels change the dynamic, showing how ethologist Owen Grady (played by Chris Pratt) has managed to train four raptors: Charlie, Delta, Echo, and Blue. Though their obedience is limited to basic commands, there is a desire to weaponise these creatures for military purposes, which Grady does not condone.
Unfortunately for these misguided opportunists, dinosaurs aren't so easily controlled, and this becomes apparent when the Indominus rex - a product of genetic engineering - goes on a rampage, the supposedly loyal pack turning on their human captors. It is only through Grady's connection to them, Blue especially, that they are eventually contained.
