Welcome Back to Silent Hill
Silent Hill: Downpour is a new entry in the Silent Hill series. Maybe it's not the great return of the franchise that we were all expecting, but it's a good game. It's funny and scary, and it's one of the few classic survival horror games that you can find on the current generation. If you liked Silent Hill: Homecoming, you should give it a chance. For Spanish users, English voices and Spanish subtitles.

Disappointing
Downpour has an interesting new story and a good new take on the Silent Hill series, however I was unable to finish this game due to its HORRIBLE new combat system. The combat is stiff, clunky and just beyond frustrating, just fighting one enemy is a chore because you hardly do any damage so the fights get really drawn out and its just not fun. Of course, Silent Hill has never been about the combat and you can just run and avoid the enemies, however it quickly becomes a problem when you try to explore and you keep running into groups of enemies that you have to run from since you don't have a chance, it really breaks pacing and the immersion. If you can look past the combat, it really is a enjoyable and interesting game, sadly however it was just too much of a deal breaker for me.

SH: Downpour
Silent Hill: Downpour is a very good game, with a great storyline and it really brings back the Silent Hill name. Based in a different part of Silent Hill, this game involves rain instead of Fog which is nice because the fog has become a bit boring. The gameplay and graphics are very good and the game has side quests to keep you busy. The game is very entertaining while you explore this new part of Silent Hill. The downfall is that the enemy A.I is really bad.

Silent hill spirit is back
I have spent many hours playing Silent Hill: Downpour to reach the end, and I have to admit that it was very good. The graphics are just OK, the gameplay is very efficient and it is a real survival horror, with a few weapons and a lot of enemies that you should avoid whenever possible. You can really feel the fear throughout the game, and that's what I was expecting from it. Furthermore, there are a lot of non-mandatory quests that you can do, depending on how deep you want to finish the game. They are very interesting and make you learn more about the background of the game. Considering the story, there are 5 different endings, depending on your choices. This game is a must, especially considering its price nowadays.

A Return To Form
Silent Hill: Downpour is a surprisingly refreshing experience. After several sub par Silent Hill titles, it is a welcome addition to the franchise. Downpour does its best to create its own experience set in the Silent Hill Universe, which is unlike Zero and Homecoming which relied on existing lore to push out rather stagnant games. Downpour's greatest achievement is its story which flourishes from something quite tame into something very memorable. With side quests to keep you busy alongside the main story, Downpour is the most expansive Silent Hill yet in terms of scope. Most of the best parts in the game relate to these side quests and therefore are not just pointless gap fillers. The games pace is rather slow but it makes the exploration of the town that much more rewarding. You spend more time getting a feel for every building and every street, therefore becoming more invested in the experience. Silent Hill: Downpour does suffer from a couple of technical issues such as lag and poor rendering at times. The combat isn't ideal either, at times being clunky and frustrating. The combat isn't a large part of the game though, like most Silent Hill games before it. Apart from these few annoyances, the title is eerie, well written and the most original Silent Hill game for many years.
