Tank! Tank! Tank! is the brilliantly adapted port of Namco Bandai's 2009 arcade title of the same name, which was originally released in 2009. This fun, local multiplayer-focused party game is perfect for both friends and family to enjoy, with various over the top antics and battles to take part in. Each and every player will get to have the thrill of driving and shooting with tanks, as well as defending and obliterating the city they find themselves rolling through.
This arcade styled game allows up to five people to play; four using the Wii remote controls, one using the innovative Wii U Game Pad touchscreen controller. If playing solo, there is a fun story mode to play through, which takes you through various missions battling giant enemies, and allows you to unlock tanks as you progress and upgrade the ones already in your possession, which can then be used in the multitude of multiplayer mayhem on offer.
When it comes to gameplay, Tank! Tank! Tank! utilises the ingenious and intuitive Wii U Game Pad with the basic controls, and has you using the left analogue stick to move your tank, and the right trigger button to fire your gun. You can use the Game Pad's accelerometer to steer your tank, and the L and R buttons discharge various weapons. The aiming is automatic, leaving you to focus fully on both shooting and evading attacks from the many enemies. Another Game Pad feature used would be the camera, as like the original arcade game, you can take a picture of yourself, and then dress up your avatar using masks, helmets, and more.
The multiplayer has a wide range of modes and gameplay variety on offer, and has you fully collaborating with the other players in order to achieve victory. One mode has you and the other players (or AI controlled allies) working together to wipe out a plague of one hundred mechanical spiders within a time limit, allowing you to lay waste to the city if pesky buildings get in the way of your shot. You'll find power-ups littered throughout each level, dropped by various fallen enemies, which range from and include machine guns, missile barrages, massive rockets, and more.
Tank! Tank! Tank! also offers more versatility when it comes to multiplayer; when a player uses the Wii U Game Pad in the Kong mode, they can choose to put their face on and control the enemy Kong, and have the other players gang up against them in order to take them down. This wide range of variety when it comes to multiplayer and solo modes, as well as gameplay that utilises the Game Pad, makes Tank! Tank! Tank! a definite must have for all those who love brand spanking new features and manic, destructive arcade fun. (Cat Emerson)

Good fun for the family
I don't own the full retail version of this game but I did purchase the "trial version" which is now on the Wii U eshop. You get the trial version for free which allows you to access 3 different multiplayer games (free for all, team vs and monster battle) up to 3 times per day. This was a great way to get to play the game and see if I liked it - the short answer is YES. I have since downloaded an extra multi-player map and the My Kong mode as well. Me and my two kids (5 and 3) have had hours of fun playing this game. I recommend getting the trial version from the eshop and if you like it you can add more and more content for a small price.

Excellent arcade title!
Many owners who have recently purchased their shiny new Wii U console may be looking for some new experiences post Mario or Zombi U, and struggle to find something that fits the bill capable of showing off the new machine. Tank Tank Tank! may not look 'new gen' enough to change the mind of many a jaded doubter but, give this game even five minutes and it's clear that the game is a throwback to the arcade days of the new millenium. You'd expect this game to be a game released by Sega for the Dreamcast; what it lacks in graphical fidelity it makes up for in raw no-frills entertainment. The game plays out much like an RPG as much as it plays like an arcade title - you can level up your tanks and earn medals that help you progress through levels and unlock better, more powerful tanks adding depth - albeit artificially - to the game length. Tank Tank Tank! is one of those rare games that doesn't depend on an online mode and instead sticks with the old-fashioned staple of single-player and local multi-player which only adds to the Wii U's mantra of bringing gaming back to the living room. The game works on so many levels and acts as a fantastic entry-level title to add to some of the more weighty experiences in your existing Wii U library. Highly recommended.

Great fun with freinds
If you fancy a game where you drive tanks and shoot giant sea monsters, floating Easter island heads, giant wasps or mecha gorrilas then this game is for you. While this offers nothing that revolutionary in terms of what it dose with the wii u gamepad it's still a great game, and If you happen to get some freinds round the multiplayer is where this game really shines. Take on the missions together, fight against each other in a death match or the best multiplayer game: Kong mode, this involves one of you being the kong and the others fighting to take you down its great fun, and there's nothing funnier than shooting a giant monkey that has one of your freinds faces Add in the budget price and I'm more than happy that I chose to pick this up

Lack! Lack! Lack!
Tank!Tank!Tank! (which i will refer to as TTT for the rest of this review) is in no way a bad game, it is a very good arcade game, however does not translate well to a home console. The Wii U is a powerful piece of kit with all kinds of features and insensitive ways to play games, TTT does not take advantage of those features other than having a dedicated screen for player 1 in multiplier. The game is lacking in most aspects with very few levels, only player 1 can select different tanks but the biggest problem is the lack of online multiplier. The game is a fun little time waster for a few minutes but has no depth to play longer than 30 minutes even with other people. It's a mystery to why it had a retail release when games on the Wii U's download market have more content and at cheaper prices. TTT is not worth the plastic it is printed on and will quickly gather dust after you've had a go at it.
