Ridge racer for PSvita is an arcade driving at the limit of the supernatural which includes the classic drifting series of ridge racer. The game itself, however, offers no novelty than its predecessors and, unfortunately, has only 3 tracks and 7 units (5 normal, plus 2 secret). However, since the reduced price offer hours and hours of gaming (especially online), thanks to his unbridled fun and his immediate command.

Great racing game for the PS Vita with an awesome online experience. Race against people all over the world, great fun. Additional content, like other tracks and background music can be downloaded through the PSN store.

The biggest reason for purchasing Ridge Racer for the PlayStation Vita was the price. I wanted some extra launch games for my Vita so I thought I'd give this a try. The "stunning graphics" are a bit exaggerated, this game looks more like a PSP game than a PS Vita game. Which is a bit of a let-down if you purchase this as one of the first Vita games. The gameplay is what you would expect from Ridge Racer though it seems even more arcade style this time, which isn't really a good thing. Overall it's a decent game but if you want a good racing game on your Vita you are better off buying Wipeout 2048.

This version of Ridge Racer from Namco managed to surprise us, but not for the right reasons. Instead of the long career mode filled with challenges, here you will find only three single-player training races. Most of the action is to be found with multiple participants online. The problem is that there is not enough content. Better not buy the game now.

Well i looked forward to this one as Ridge Racer has a history with the PS brand and has become a bit of a system launcher, i got the first one with my PS1, now this. All i can say is it does not deserve the beating it has been getting from reviews. Sure admittedly you get a limited amount of cars and tracks but the included DLC and PSN content fill out the package nicely. The graphics are great, absolutely spot on for the R/Racer universe, packed with charm and detail, for my money it looks as nice as the full blown PS3 version, on a smaller screen the 5" OLED screen makes it all super sharp and an absolute joy to watch in motion. The sound is also spot on with some good trance/techno music tracks and cool fx...even the commentary aint bad! Controls are actually better than i first thought they would be, just remember and suspend belief, this is not a sim, it is pure racing fun......all about drifting sideways round a corner at ridiculous speeds!!!!. Everything from its big brother is here, well impressed especially so early on in its development cycle. Buy it!!!!!

It looks great and plays well. But not a lot to do compared to the mainstream version. You can race online which is good, but there is not much else to do.

Initially not many tracks but with download code included it makes it worthwhile for Ridge Racer fans, but not so for everyone else looking for a more serious racing title. It also came with £8 off Katamari download off psn which made it all the more worthwhile if you were considering that game too.
