Sniper Elite V2 is the revolutionary re-imagining of the classic game Sniper Elite. All of the aspects of gameplay, graphics, and everything inbetween has been revamped in order to bring this immersive and innovative game into the 21st century. Sniper Elite V2 is a breath of fresh air in this particular gaming genre, with this third person shooter based more in the tactical side of gun play.
It is 1945, and the planet is in the throes of World War 2. You play as Carl Fairburn, a sniper who has been sent behind enemy lines in the ruins of Berlin. You will have to make use of your exceptional stealth and sniper skills in order to make it out of this chaos alive, your main priority being to remain silent and remain unseen. You will have to measure and analyse every situation you find yourself in, and know exactly when to shoot, who to shoot, and even whether to shoot. You will be provided with an array of artillery including machine guns, a silencer-equipped pistol, and of course a sniper rifle. You will also have the ability to break your foe's neck should you find yourself in a close quarters combat situation, meaning you are prepared for whatever situation you wind up in.
Sniper Elite V2 prides itself upon the realism it delivers, getting details such as locations, weapons, vehicles, and uniforms all down to a tee. This sharpshooter takes everything into account when you are lining up your shot with the use of their ingenious ballistic system, which adds to the intense realism. With the ballistic system, you have to take various factors into consideration, including calculating gravity, cross winds, the weight of your gun's muzzle, and more. When playing on a harder difficulty, you sometimes even have to rely on smoke to properly gage the wind, and hold your breath at the right moment. In order not to expose yourself to the enemy with the sound of your shot, you can time your firing to coincide with noises of the environment, for example thunder. In order to get the best view of your target, you can place yourself in vantage points which you can secure by placing mines around your area, so no enemy can catch you off guard. All of this, and more, adds up to an incredibly realistic military sharpshooter that will keep you on the edge of your seat at all times.
Alongside this very realistic observe, plan, and execute theme, there are also plenty of aspects to remind yourself that Sniper Elite V2 is still an exhilarating and action packed game. There is an incredible bullet cam that has been re-introduced, which activates when you make a great shot. This re-engineered kill cam will follow the bullet in slow motion as it goes through your target's body, giving an x-ray of the bullet shattering bones, perforating organs, and even more gory and grisly details. Fun game!
Sniper Elite V2 is a fun game. It has lots of action and pretty cool game play. The game suffers in the story, but lets be honest, as long as we're having fun the story sometimes takes a back seat. I can honestly say that I am enjoying this game, especially in 3D. For those of you who own a 3D TV, give this a try.

Great game
Excellent game, I'm on the 4th mission and finding the game very addictive. A thoughtful approach to the missions will pay dividends, recon and stealth before choosing the right moment to commence your attack. You can time your shots with various background noises to drown out your shots thus keeping your attacks stealthy. You can boobytrap your victims with landmines, lay trip wires. The bullet cam is amazing, you are sometimes rewarded with the x-ray bullet impact, which is bone shatteringly gruesome , something that i never seem to tire of seeing. I've not enjoyed a game this much in ages, highly recommend.

Sniper Elite V2 is a very good game but the demo was a lot different than the actual game, the graphics at times, are a bit dodgy but usually good. I'd say buy it but don't be too expectant!

I absolutely love the killcams in Sniper Elite V2, especially the "ball-shot". It's a very good, challenging game. Much better than Sniper Ghost Warrior.

Sniper Elite V2 (Pre-Order DLC)
I loved Sniper: Ghost Warrior and was hoping that Sniper Elite V2 would be similar. It is, but instead of a jungle setting, you are in war-torn Berlin amidst piles and piles of rubble. It might be a bit samey for some people but so is Call of Duty when you think about it. I love the bullet-cam A.K.A. ghost warrior, and John Woo and the graphics when the bullet hits the target are just too much. They're really gory. You've just got to see this game. If you like shooting the enemy from a mile away, then this is for you.

Sniper Elite V2
Sniper Elite V2 has a good storyline, but some movement and game-play problems: Very often, enemies would appear unexpectedly, already aware of your existence and begin shooting immediately, thus alerting any others in the area. A lot of objects in the game don't move out of the way, so it was very easy to get stuck whilst trying to sneak around. This was especially annoying when it was nothing more than a brick. Some of the early levels don't have any sort of loud noises so the first shot you make alerts everyone. The faces of characters on one or two of the cut scenes were laughable. You can't shoot the bottles with the silenced pistol, so if you happen to come across one whilst trying to sneak around you have to either leave it or use you rifle and risk alerting any enemies about. I didn't try it with the SMG so I don't know if it works. And finally, though I'm sure there were a few others, the cut scene of the death of your final target is ridiculous. The face he pulls is like a comedian imitating having an oversized thermometer shoved up his rectum!

Sniper elite V2
This is a very brilliant game. I played the demo and thought it will be another World War game. It turns out this is the most quality and worth World War game. The graphics are plain brutally amazing game, when you see a enemies you can mark them and snip from a long distance. I love it when it does the X-ray kills, as soon as you hit a organ. The organ just explodes, really amazing. I am only at the start of the game, its just amazing. I really hope there will be campaign DLC for this game or just any DLC. The detail in the people and organs are quality. The detail in the environment is amazing too, there could of been some better graphics on the cars. but apart from that, it good. I recommend buying this game. Worth all the money.
