A Must Buy!!!
5Rockstar has done it again. This is one of my all time favourites. At first glance you could confuse this for a wild west style GTA IV but once you start playing you will see this open world game stands on its own two feet, with enough original features to pull you in an keep you playing and even doing the extras once you have completed the main story. Though its not near impossible to achieve 100% in this game like GTA, it is challenging and fun all the way! As you would expect from Rockstar visually the game is great from the landscapes (which there are a variety of) to buildings, characters and animals. The controls are easy to use and the story takes enough twists and turns so you don't feel like your doing the same thing over and over. All in all as the title says a must buy! and if you do get this game and do enjoy it you might want to check you, Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare which also stands alone. but as it has a few familiar characters I would recommend this one first and then like me you will rush to get the Undead Nightmare

Great game with a great story and a decent multiplayer
5As nice as you would expect from Rockstar games. It got a great story, which got narrated like a movie. Great characters.

One of the best games ever
5If someone wakes me up in the middle of the night and asks me my top 5 games of all time I will surely include RDR in the list. I love GTA IV and RDR is pretty-much the same game but with horses instead of cars. There are some boring moments (like different secret and similar tasks), but the main story is great. The game is quite challenging (especially when skinning bears), so you won't even start waiting for the ending. The game is really big so prepare to spend tons of hours exploring, shooting and riding your trusty 1 HP vehicle. I also like how the thing looks - especially after the rain. Awesome game which everyone should buy.

Rockstar Deliver, But Yet Again Fail To On Minor Details
4It is about time that a game was released that done justice to the good old wild west. Thanks to Rockstar for finally coming up with the goods. The story mode is a good length, not too long that the player is bored to death, but not to short that the player feels hard done by. Multiplayer features an array of modes, which is now something we all expect from Rockstar. Graphics are clean and are some of the finest around. There is so much to do with side missions, bounty missions and minigames which all add to the experience! Unfortunately, it's the minor details which let this game down. There are alot of Glitches which have in some cases made people restart missions, and in more extreme cases forced people to start the game from scratch, I personally have only experienced a few minor glitches as of just now, but I know someone who has had his full game save lost. As long as you make a backup save you should be fine. With only a little more effort rockstar could have made this one of the best games of all time!. All in all, this is a game which should not be missed! and will keep the player entertained for months on end!

brilliant
5I bought this game of zavvi about a month ago. its probably the most entertaining and interesting games I've ever played on Xbox 360 in all my 3 years of Xbox 360. the single player is awesome, lots of different weapons and items, really takes you back to the cowboy days. also delivered very quick and best price here on zavvi. so if you like GTA, you'll love this! :)

Fantastic!
5The free roam attention to detail is absolutely awe inspiring, When looking around at villagers you can observe villagers doing simple tasks such as cutting wood. Also the landscaping around the world is fantastic , fantastic graphics enhanced by the brilliant objects. Also the main story is fantastic with one of the best ending's I've ever seen in a game the story really grabs you. However replay value of the game is not excellent but still you can repeat it at least twice. In the game you get a choice of being honorable or dishonorable. These choices really affect those opinions of those around you. A really fun feature is the game progress stat where of course the ultimate goal is 100%. To get this you will need to complete a huge range of stuff e.g. poker. But as well as this you get the online side of it which in places is repetitive and slightly boring. But otherwise it's a good thing to play with friends and get to level 50. I love this game but I'd say the single player is my favorite aspect of the game. I strongly recommend this game to buyer's. One of my top ten favorite games.

5This game has been dismissed simply as Grand Theft Auto in the Old-west... and it is... but so what? GTA was awesome, and so is Red Dead. So you're dumped into the prairies as John Marston, a former rootin'-tootin' gunslingin' gangster who, after having his family kidnapped by the government, is forced to track down his old gang-mates and give them a little lesson in hard, cold justice. The story, which features some truly perfect voice acting, is thoroughly engaging. Of course it's possible to skip the cutscenes but, give it a chance, and you'll find yourself growing attached to the multitude of characters who you interact with. With landscapes as rich and detailed as the West and Mexico, you need graphics which can handle it. Red Dead does. Very well. Everywhere you look, your screen is filled with some truly breathtaking landscapes. Rest assured, this is a very, very pretty game. Replay value comes in the form of the multiplayer which, after the all the hours spent playing generic FPS's is fresh and exciting. And with the recent release of FREE downloadable content, has just got even bigger. Unmissable. Good job, Rockstar.

One of the best games around!!
5Red dead redemption is one of the greatest games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Its amazing attention to detail and to the story is absolutly amazing, the game has loads to do but not so much that you will get fed up at all. As yu go through the story missions, when yu get to a part of the story where yu think its goning to be the end I was left praying that it wasnt and to my delight most of the time it wasnt the end, I played this game alot on just the story and I not exactly slow when it comes to finishing game... this one took me a good 20hours of gameplay time to finish best 36 pounds Ive spent for a while. I would really recommend this game if yur into westerns or not, I wasnt before this game now I love the idea of the cowboy world of John Marston. I dont see this game having its price dropped much at all for a long time. Well worth the money!!

5This game is absolutely great! So atmospheric as you actually feel for the characters and it draws you into the time period. It has also inspired me to watch Western films that I wouldn't have watched before! All in all it's a definate must buy!
