A stylish and satisfying button masher

In Knights contract you play as Heinrich, an executioner cursed with immortality. In his roaming around a world full of death and despair because of evil witches searching for revenge on humans, he finds Gretchen, the reincarnation of the witch he once executed and his only way to stop his curse. Basically, Knights contract is a beat'em up where you have to deliver combos at enemies taking care not of yourself, because your character can't die at all, but of Gretchen. Your lovely witch can definitely die and when she does it's game over. You can resurrect any time you die by pressing repeatedly the A button but it does take time, so it's risky because Gretchen can be killed by enemies when you are down. One of the best things in the game is that you can combine Heinrich's attacks with Gretchen's sorceries; this means having multiple way to approach smaller and bigger enemies and finishing them with stylish moves. In the beginning you have to learn this, but after you master this the game can be very satisfying and funny. Boss battles are very cool and they always end with a spectacular qte sequence, where the only problem is that if you miss the buttons you have to continue the battle with the boss. This may seem annoying to some players, but I'm enjoying emproving myself every time I fail. So, the game has good, even if not excellent, graphics, good sound and quite a good plot to keep you locked at the screen until you reach the end. Most important thing is that I'm having much fun playing it; it's fast, it's original, it's a very good and stylish button masher with personality. It's definitely worth your £15.
