Great game. Once you get to grips with the handling, it feels great. Car graphics look exceptional, and the tracks are reproduced faithfully (if occasionally a little bland/flat). Best weather effects I've ever seen in a game. AI is mostly good, its possible to have some authentic wheel-to-wheel racing. Some 'sim' elements are in the game, such as tyre wear etc, but these can be disabled for a more 'arcade' type game. Plenty of options to tweak difficulty and driving aids. Good online play, aside from the usual crazy drivers, and slightly uninformative lobby system. A few things could've been improved, e.g. damage modeling and the off-track stuff, but its an excellent F1 game. Some have reported bugs, but hopefully there will be a patch for these. I'll give it 4/5, since we all know f1 2011 will address some of the issues and be even better. (zavvi pre-order arrived on time).

This is an absolutely amazing game and extremely addictive. The sense of satisfaction when shaving 10ths or 100ths of a second off your lap time to qualify higher is immense or pulling off the perfect overtake when tailing someone for a few laps. I would recommend this to any racing fan.

F1 2010 Review

It has been a long time since a decent Formula One game has hit the shelves, and now Codemasters have stepped up to the challenge with the fully licensed F1 2010, and trust me, it doesn't disappoint. F1 2010 delivers a truly immersive Formula One driving experience, the tracks are superbly realised and the attention to detail is amazing, the cars and drivers are fully licensed and also look amazing, and the driving itself feels very real. Codemasters were very keen to advertise the dynamic weather system, and dynamic it is too, after a rainstorm has hit and the track starts to dry, a drying line will start to appear, and if you stray from it, the car loses grip and will spin out, but don't worry, Codemasters' famous flashback system is back again if you get into a bit of trouble. The one thing that I did find that was a little bit disappointing was live the life that Codemasters were very proud of, it's all right for the first few races, but the questions that you are asked just get repetitive and boring, there are only ever three choices of what to say, and it basically comes down to, the car is under performing, there's still more to do, and the team is putting pressure on me. Other than that, the F1 and general racing experience is head and shoulders above any other I've seen for a while, sounds like good old Codemasters, and hopefully F1 2011 will be even better (yes F1 2011 has been announced)

F1 2010 near perfection

What a superb game codemasters has created. The graphics are stunning with every element showing the wonderful graphics in which should be expected these days. Menus are firstly diffucult to navigate but give it 5 mins and you will be operating them easily. Its cleverly designed menus make you seem like your walking around a paddock (a la Dirt 2 with the caravan). AI is very clever with a number of different settings. The only way to play for realism for me is traction control etc all turned off and 0 flashbacks, with all aids off and 0 flashbacks you may need to use amatuer as you will work through the pack but one little mistake could see you spin your car and slide to the back, unless you use flashback to rewind time and restart from an earlier point but in my opinion this is almost 'cheating' and takes the skill element away from a true win, aka in reality they cant just rewind time!!! Great game, the ego has been altered well to suit a f1 car which handles effectivily (Ive only played with all aids switched off though). Colours can be a little bland but this is seen in grid and dirt with theyre dull colour palatte but in a way it does enable realism as some games can have too vivid colours and look unrealisticly vibrant. all in all great game with no real competition on the market but still excels as if it had several other rival games out in which it needed to beat. Well worth a look and a buy :) Theres also a very complex weather system which is superb and allows a very realistic feel to the proceedings.

This is the best installment of a f1 game. The handling and graphics and driving in the wet give you the best experience a driving game can give you. The online play is absolutely amazing and really give the element of fun to the game. This is the real deal

Great graphics and gameplay! Very realistic! @barrygee Most games get leaked to the web before release, and people download, burn and play them on modded consoles, at the risk of getting banned from xbox live...
