Blur Xbox 360 Review

Blur is one of the few racing games capable of offering an excellent driving mechanic along with the fun of destroying other opponents using the game's specific weaponry. Sure this one doesn't allow you to change your car's engine specs but it has real cars such as BMW, Ford... and they suffer the hits of rockets or mines coming out of each other. This game will remind you of a realistic version of Mario Kart. The single player career will last for many hours and the multiplayer is great fun.

blur

This game could be described as the modern reflection of the classic Mario Kart. Moving away from Mario Karts cartoon look blur uses real life cars models but at its core is a arcade racer so anyone can pick up and play it. The tracks are challenging and different from each other plus you gets perks to customize your style of play. Replay value is in collectable stickers, new cars and a ranking system to make you come back for more. As in Mario Kart you have weapons and power ups that you can use to destroy the competition. Most of the fun you will have is in online gameplay. It is very addicting; I just could not stop playing. It’s not about being first but more about collecting fan ratings so even if you are not at the front you still have fun. Now the single player needs some work but I would advise you to buy this for its multiplayer. I would give blur an 8/10 for giving hours of entertainment and fun. No other racing game has had me saying just one more race. Superb

overlooked and EPIC

Few games can be played online multiplayer for hours and hours after most game developers spend more time on single player than with friends. This game offers a hard to be matched single player with mixed up race's tonnes of tracks with non same like environments and soo many challenges to work on and progress while keeping an eye on your friends scores to beat. This game also offers an explosive multiplayer that no racing game i've played comes close to, from fast passed racing with power ups that make you play like no other racing game to old school destruction derby style figure of eight and bowl smashing with friends. Amazing.

GOOD BUT GREAT ONLINE

Good racer with a nice twist of power ups, if you like games like mario kart, burnout and need for speed- this ones right up your street. Good in single player but can get repetitive, comes alive in multiplayer online- one of best games over xbox live i've played. Keeps you wanting to come back for one more race and try to get into the top 3. Brilliant racer but nothing special if you haven't got online access!

yep, yep, yep

This is the perfect combi - serious hardcore racing with some arcade frills that are balanced to perfection. I didn't think this would work, but it plays like a dream and the online modes are addictive. Great track design and all.

Surprising

Been playing this since yesterday (cheers Zavvi!) and I have to say it has taken me completely by surprise. It looks amazing (and the level set on Brighton beach is incredibly realistic!) and its the perfect mix of serious racing game and arcade thrills. I thought Split Second Velocity (also an excellent game) would blow this out of the water but it hasn't - it's a close call deciding which is better! 5 *****
