You need this one
4Resident Evil 5 lacks the environment that made the RE series famous, like the first game, but you need it to understand the whole story. It it a great action game overall, with incredible graphics and a lot of hours of fun. You can also play it with a friend in co-op mode.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition (Playstation Move Compatible)
4Resident Evil 5 is a good game, now with the option of playing it with Playstation Move, which is very accurate. I like that it comes with all the DLCs, which means you have more hours of play, and the online modes on top of that.

RE 5
5Resident Evil 5 is a great game. Especially if you play co-op with your friend, it will be a blast. Although some fans will think that this is not really what Resident Evil used to be, but it still a great game that deserves 5 stars.

Resident Evil 5:Gold Edition
3The first Resi on a next-gen console. What could go wrong? Well,a lot of things. Don't get me wrong this is still a great game, but I'll take that mansion and the creaking door scene anytime.Resi 5 has become a 3rd person shooter.A fun one at that. But someone forgot the "Resident Evil" part. This game isn't creepy,or scary,it's mostly just gross. Maybe I'm still too taken in by the whole "Resi 4" redefining-the-genre thing.Boy I loved that game.Must have finished it like 20 times or something. Resi 5 is fun,the Gold Edition has a lot of bonus features,it will keep you interested for quite a while, but as I've said, this is no longer survival horror, this is Chris and his guns against the 3rd world zombies. If you can live with that, then buy this game.

Resident Evil 5
4Playing this game in co-op is great fun, mostly for the planning and working together, to get through what the game throws at you. Singleplayer can be annoying, because the AI partner is not really dependable, wasting and hogging all the ammo and using first aid when not necessary. One thing worth noting is that the Gold Edition comes with extra content at an extremely good price, so it's worth getting if you like co-ops!

A good action game
4This isn't really what Resident Evil series used to be but Resident Evil 5 is a good game - especially when playing with a friend. Even though the game isn't that scary, all the cheesy plot twists from the series are still there. If you're into Resident Evil or japanese actions games at all, consider buying this one.

New Resi, take two
4I have been a fan of Resident Evil since the first game - a HUGE fan. I still remember dialogues (though they were mostly just cheesy cliches - but they did give the series a certain charm) and I still get really happy when I see a shotgun. The turn of the tides with Resi 4 did not sit well with me - I couldn't adapt to the new pace of the game and the idea of a third person shooter where you can't move while aiming. I tried, I failed. Haven't touched the game since. I might give it a try one of these days, with the upcoming HD Collection. Resident Evil 5 on the other hand provided me with something I always liked - co-op play. Any potential drawbacks of the game can be forgotten easily when you have someone to share your woes with. After a while, I got used to the aiming system and the movement, and had a lot of fun in the game. Unfortunately, I didn't find the characters nor the story improved on any of the previous ones, especially dialogue-wise. Chris with his balloon arms was a bit over the top, really. The enemies were interesting, especially the bigger ones, yet I don't think I'll ever love anything as much as a good ol' lurchin' zombie-thing. I still do, however, cherish the tingling sensation of finding a box of shotgun shells - and that's all that matters.
