Another Rockstar success
5Red Dead Redemption is the classical example of a freeroaming. This game is a fantastic third person shooter that give you the possibility of explore the amazing landscape. You have the possibility to live the life of a perfect renegade in the Far West age, taming horses, hunt down criminals, gambling. The whole is surrounded by a coinvolgent main story with a final surprise. I recommend this game to all fans of cowboys and sheriffs. If you like it you can't find anything better.

Undoubtedly the stand-out star of this generation
5Building on Rockstar Games' reputation for excellent open-world games, Red Dead Redemption has to be one of the most immersive games I've ever played. The scenery is breathtaking, so much so that you'll find yourself exploring on horseback just to appreciate the views. But Red Dead Redemption isn't just a pretty face; its story is gritty and full of twists, whilst the action is absolutely spot on! Guns feel powerful, and the slow-motion 'Dead Eye' feature adds Matrix-esque style to the already intense shootouts. Add to this a haunting score and superb sound effects, and it's hard to think why anyone wouldn't buy this game.

Great game
5Red Dead Redemption is one of the rare and most valuable video game which lets you play as a cowboy in the wild west. The Gameplay is just great and the feeling of adventure is faithfully reproduced. The story and playground are huge enough to play for hours. The online gameplay is tons of fun as well. Trust me, Red Dead Redemption is definitely a must have game for your PS3.

Clint Eastwood? nah John Marston
4Red Dead Redemption is an old west themed game by rockstar, knowing that lets proceed with the review. Story: 4/5 john marston is forced to catch one of his old friends to get his family back, to do that he must help other people, travel along the west side of USA and Mexico. Characters: 5/5 The characters are the best part of the game, we have grave robbers, old fat man that sales posions, an alcoholic sort of mercenary guy and many more. Each character has it's own personality. Gameplay: 5/5 Have you played GTA? well take the cars, the helicopters, the tanks and the motorbikes and add some horses. You can do whatever you want, hunting animals, killing bandits and get drunk (? Graphics: 4/5 They are very good but they could be better, there are some minors flaws but nothing to worry about. All in all RDR it's a great game to play, one of the must have for every ps3 owner.

Bringing the wild back to the Wild West.
5The American West has made actors famous and writers rich. It has inspired children on the playground and grizzled country singers alike. Its stories of heroes and bandits, gold rushes and simple homesteaders have been fictionalized and romanticized to the point that they're known the world over. And yet, videogame makers have either ignored the setting or attempted to squeeze it into existing game conventions with limited success. That has all changed now that Rockstar, the group made famous for its Grand Theft Auto series, turned its eye towards the Wild West. No game maker has approached the period with as much passion and power as Red Dead Redemption. This is the new bar that all Westerns must strive to reach.

The fastest Grand Theft Auto of the West
5As in GTA IV, the attention to every detail of the surrounding world is breathtaking and in this case the first time that a western style game has such an enormous world to explore. Our hero, John Marston, is an outlaw cowboy whose mission is to eliminate his old gang. The game is chronologically situated between the extiction of western style civilization and the modern civilization. There are several missions to do, that go from helping a shepherd with his herd, to bringing bad guys to justice. The gameplay is very similar to GTA IV, with the exception of the horse riding controls, everything else is very similar, even running, jumping, hiding, and so on. The game depicts very faithfully the actions and overall situations of the time in question (Western), which is why I think that Rockstar made a wonderful piece of gaming technology and surpassed every rival in this type of game. On a more personal note, this game is very entertaining to play, because there is always something to do in the life of John Marston! Gameplay: 10/10 Graphics and Sound: 10/10 Story: 10/10 Overall Note: 10
