Rage
5Rage sets you in a futuristic wasteland, after an asteroid hits the Earth. First thing that you will notice is its robust engine: id tech 5 really is something, maintaining 60 fps with crisp visuals: this is as near as "next-gen" you can get. Enemies' behaviour is always aggressive and unpredictable, they jump, roll, hang and attack you from various directions, in a way that may even intimidate you a bit at the beginning, if you're used to "boring" infantry soldiers as enemies. Voice acting is also not half bad, telling you stories about the postapocalyptic remains of human society. I totally recommend Rage.

Rage: Anarchy Edition
5Undoubtedly one of the best games I played in 2011. The perfect combination of Fallout and Boderlands with graphics, sound and gameplay of 10 Score. The only downside is too addictive.

Amazing
5Amazing graphics, Fun to play, AI is the best I've ever seen, racing is fun. If you put all that together, you get Rage.

4In my oppinion Rage is a combination of Fallout and Borderlands, but a succesfull one with hectic shooting, driving exploring and basically surviving. Overall an enjoyable game.

Down on setting - up on game!
4I'll start by referring to my title - this game seems to be just yet another apocalyptic wasteland RPG.. but it's not.. it's a great apocalyptic wasteland RPG! The look first of all fascinated me - can you believe you need 3 discs on the Xbox just to make up for the graphics space! Thoroughly enjoyed the moving story, lifelike emotions of characters, and awesome dune-buggy racing. 4 stars due to the unoriginal setting, though once again, it comes into a league of it's own. Can't wait for the next!

A great view for a not so good story!!
4The ID software had not produced any title in this generation of consoles. Doom 3 was his last game, released in 2004 and since then, John Carmack and his team began building a new graphics engine, the idTech5. Accustomed to titles defined by extensive linear corridors, usually with dark and claustrophobic environments, patents in Doom or Quake, Rage was produced in different roads. The story focuses on a near future when a meteorite called Apophis enter into a collision course with Earth. But better in this game are the graphics. With vivid colors and detail to detail, this game shows an amazing work of art. The different scenarios also help to the diversity of the game. The single biggest problem is the delay of textures, but not enough to spoil the game experience (though at times it becomes anuisance). As for missions, these are based on taking orders, how to kill some monsters or delivery supplements, although occasionally there are bosses and particularly different missions. In the world of RAGE, which can not be said to be a sandbox like GTA, there are several factions that are scattered and have different stereotypes, like The Wasted Clan or the Ghost Clan. One aspect that shows the small vein of RPG, is be able to build gadgets and ammunition by recycling materials. One of the best things about Rage is undoubtedly the Artificial Intelligence. As for the story, is hardly anything new. Finally, to prolong the experience, there is various and entertaining multiplayer modes. If RAGE is worth buying? It certainly is, unless you are looking for a super original story! Álvaro Cancela

RAGE: Anarchy Edition
4Wasn't to sure what to expect from this game as i was going on previews and awards it had won at game shows. For me it was a very enjoyable game. I think its the same guys that brought us Fallout & New Vegas so you know you will be set in a big gaming world. Gameplay wise its a lot of fun giving a good selection of guns (roughly 8-10) and also a selection of grenades, bots, throwing weapons and so on.Theres also multiple different ammo types for your guns as well so you do have a good selection of items in the game. The driving was a lot better than i thought it was going to be and you have different vehicles to unlock. These can also be upgraded (weapons/parts etc) and also customized a little (paint jobs etc.) As for the graphics they are extremely well detailed, but the only problem i have/see is that you can see the textures loading somtimes (large areas in the outside world and also some indoor areas) but i have got used to it. As for the multiplayer there are two modes. One is for racing your vehicles (up to 4 players i think) and the other mode is co-op. I haven't played either of these modes yet but i am looking forward to the co-op. If your into shoooters and also like some driving then this should suit you, if not at least rent it and have a go, it is worth it.
