Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a heart-warming tale of a young boy called Oliver, who embarks on a journey into a parallel world to become a magician in an attempt to bring his mother back from the dead. Along the way Oliver makes new friends and adopts many of the wonderful creatures that inhabit the world, raising them to battle other creatures on his behalf as he takes on formidable enemies.
The unique fantasy adventure is developed by LEVEL-5, the studio behind the smash hits Dragon Quest VIII and IX, and the Professor Layton series. For the game’s characters and animations, LEVEL-5 collaborated with the legendary Studio Ghibli, the team responsible for countless anime masterpieces including My Neighbour Totoro, Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away. The in-game music comes from the hand of Joe Hisaishi, the composer of the scores to over 100 films including many of Studio Ghibli’s greatest productions.
The epic title is being localised with English or the original Japanese voiceover, with English subtitles included as an option.
Features:
- An RPG born from the talent of two legendary studios: Ni no Kuni combines the renowned LEVEL-5 video game studio with the animation of the world class team at Studio Ghibli, and the music of the equally legendary Joe Hisaishi, composer on many Ghibli movies. The result is a RPG which expertly fuses these formidable talents.
- A visually stunning game: During their travels with Oliver, players will be able to immerse themselves in a series of incredible environments, landscapes and cities, as if they were entering an animated movie universe inside a video game.
- All the ingredients of a RPG and much more: LEVEL-5’s mastery of the genre results in a game that offers the best of a RPG and more: a free roaming map, varied transportation systems, a tactical yet easy to handle combat system and a myriad of secondary quests, mini-games and bonuses.
- A captivating story with anime-like 3D cut-scenes: The player enters the magical universe of Ni no Kuni and begins the journey with Oliver, meeting all kinds of people on the way. Yoshiyuki Momose from Studio Ghibli supervised the storyboards for the in-game 3D cut-scenes and provided stage directions for the motion capture sequences, bringing all his expertise from the animation world to bear on the game’s story.

Outstanding jRPG
Ni nu kuni is a jRPG like no other in this gen. It excels in every aspect, graphics, gameplay , story, etc. It captures the gamemaking that Level 5 is known for combined with the art of studio ghibli. Beautiful. Actually, the game has only one drawback: a lack of voiced cutscenes. A magical expirence that will be enjoyed mostly by fans of the genre. .

One of PS3 best
Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch is one of the best games on ps3. Not just the best jrpg, or rpg in that matter, it's easily one of the best that came out exclusively on the system. It was done with the collaboration by Studio Ghibli, the famous animation film studio from Japan which is responsible for the classics like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke etc. and Level 5 studios who made the ps2 games Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2. Anyone who has seen those movies or played those games are familiar with the animation style. Here they produce a game which looks beautiful, from the gameplay the the short animations done by Ghibli throughout the game. The battle system is involving and interesting. The world itself is massive and you will probably spend hours upon hours exploring it by doing the main and side quests. I finished the game in about 70 hours. After you finish it you can still spend time playing it, because it doesn't end and you get new tasks. If you like jrpg or rpg games don't miss it. And if you don't, this is the best way to get started.

Excellent Game !

NICE RPG
Great game with so much to do. I spend 60 hours playing the story and doing side missions, without even touching the trophies. Story is really well done, and the gameplay is quite original. Animated graphics and nice soundtracks are beautiful, the only bad thing is the amount of text you go through throughout the game. Don't get me wrong, it's very interesting, but it could be even better (less text more voice overs). Even thought it looks childish, with you playing a young protagonist, it is still meant for all generations. If you are tired of buying games with 10 hours of playability, try the game out.

Ni no Kuni
Ni No Kuni is a glorious showdown JRPG. Level 5 borrowed many features from the systems of some of the finest exponents of the genre and have merged into a unique title, which is able to offer an immersive and refined without sacrificing the depth and the high level of challenge so dear to veteran players, all in the wonderful atmosphere of the works of Studio Ghibli. If you love Japanese RPGs do not miss this title for no reason at all.
