Max Payne Excels
5I have had Max Payne 3 for a week or so and it's keeping me really involved. As a long-term gamer, I can recommend even if you want to play on easy as there's an option to play with easy lock-on targeting. I'm playing with targeting off and it's compelling stuff. There's a strong story and great characterization to match in with the high level of game play. I haven't played multi player on this yet but if it's half as good as the single-player, it'll be twice as good as most of the competition.

5I have only one word for this review - amazing. It is good old Max with great control. Awesome graphics and never-ending action. For me, it's one of the best games ever.

4Nice shooter great action scenes. Sometimes the movies are a little too long between the action, but still a very good game. I had a lot of fun playing it.

5Max Payne series was one of my favorite games ever when I was a teenager. The best title was the second one until today. Max Payne 3 makes everything a little bit better than the past ones. The graphics are in my opinion fantastic. The game is incredible, photo-realistic, and state of the art. It has so many details, e.g. in the offices, that you should take a closer look at, to find the enemies, who are quite clever, and use the environment too. The shoot-dodge and bullet-time is better then ever before. It comes with motion blur, and you can see every bullet, every hit in the environment, glass breaking etc. If you forgot to take a painkiller but already have some, bullet-time is automatically activated and you have a few seconds to take vendetta to the enemy that hit you. After getting him, Max can take a painkiller and the game is yours again. The story is perfect. First I thought "bad setting", "bad Max with no hair", "no New York, no dark sight"... but the story explains everything and it's the best continuing of the past two parts. You can feel with him, and can understand whats going on with him... To get the whole story you must have played the two past parts. I played it on hard difficulty, to get the next harder mode. Hard means hard, that's for sure. The game is definitely not too easy. I can't believe it, but the multiplayer mode is good as the game itself. It comes with many settings, a cool level system, and many maps. So in my opinion it is the best Max Payne game ever, and the second comes close after it.

4Excellent Single player with a nice Story and fun. Balance of the multiplayer weapons is not good. Sniper weapons let´s no chance for beginners.

Good but not much variety
4A very good game, but it doesn't reach excellence for me. It lacks something in the action parts when compared to the Uncharted series. The shooting sections are good but they present nothing new in comparison to Mass Effect 2/3 or Uncharted. Still a very good action game, but it doesn't stand out so much on other titles. Would recommend buying anyway
