mass effect 3
1Game was very poor. Finished in less than 8 hours. If you liked mass effect 2 you will not like this it is like they took a giant step back.

Awesome game!
5I already had mass effect 2, and I loved it. I couldn't wait for ME3, and now that I've got it, I couldn't be happier. The game exceeds all my expectations, every second that I'm playing it is a miracle. if you're a fan of mass effect, you should buy it immediately, it's definitely worth it. even if you're not familiar with mass effect, I think you will like this game. the story and gameplay are great, and looks absolutely beautiful. I really recommend it!

The bar has been set
5This is more than simply a video game. It is an immersive, incredibly detailed and amazingly well-crafted experience. From an excellent Battlefield Galactica-esk soundtrack (as continued on from the first 2 games) to the fantastic story lines including all side missions. Such an incredible game, even if you aren't into sci-fi or 3rd person shooters - this game is a must. Even if it is just to see where the bar has now been set.

5Graphics: 8/10 Sound: 10/10 Balance: 9/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Controls: 8/10 Complexity: 9/10 Quests/Story: 10/10 Character system: 10/10 Battle system: 8/10 Items: 9/10 -15-20 hour-long main quest -Around 40 hours playtime in total- side missions are vital to amass enough opposition to the Reaper threat -90 minutes of cutscenes -No loose ends or cliffhangers, the game is truly an appropriate end to the trilogy with a very intense and touching finale -More than 100 scenes, conversations and/or events change depending on our choices after importing a save-game from ME2- from something small like someone thanking us for completing a mission to bigger repercussions which would be to spoilerous to write down- you are definitely going to feel the consequences, and not always like them -SPOILER: In order to rally allies, we search for a cure for the Genophage, build a Prothean weapon, disarm a Cerberus bomb before it destroys half of a moon, and are even inserted virtually in a computer program -If and how many of these quests we complete influences how the game ends, and who- individually and globally- survives -While the game can be enjoyable for newcomers as well, because the game is strong on its own mechanically and story-wise, it is recommended to play the first two entries to make more sense out of the wealth of information that the game builds on -There’s an interesting sequence after the end credits -The „Role-Play“ mode of the game (In contrast to „Action“ and „Story“) feels very much like ME1 -The game gives you more opportunity to customize your Shepard. Each class has 8 talents with 6 levels each, and up from Level 4 there are two branches to choose from to level up each individual talent differently. Weapon customization is also a factor and noticeable, but the effects (which have both pros and cons) are only marginal -Balancing isn’t optimal -The game is noticeably more difficult up from „Medium“, which makes using the correct weapon mods and talents integral to survive. Shepard also shoots more accurately in cover. -The AI, on the other hand, is still not very advanced -SPOILER: You are going to visit Krogan ruins, a Geth ship and the Turian moon Palaven, among others -There are multiple turret sections which aren’t very well directed -Despite the shortcomings in level design, which are similar to ME2, the game is constantly thrilling, spectacular and dramatic- largely thanks to the well-presented story and dialogue- and there are lot of small and large choices again to ponder on -Scanning isn’t nearly as repetitive as before, because it works a lot quicker now and incorporates a new mini-game where you have to navigate your ship away from Reaper threat -The new melee option is fun, but a little overpowered -Graphically, the low polycount, lack of detail and low texture resolution disappoints- the characters are well animated and modeled however, and the overall look, despite its age, is quite moody -Great dynamic soundtrack and sound-effects -Our progress in the war effort is constantly trackable on a terminal on the Normandy In summary, the game builds on the strenghts of ME2 and takes some notes from ME1 to create the most compelling experience in the franchise yet.

Doesn't dissapoint
5If you liked Mass Effect 2 you'll love this. I'd advise you pick up ME2 first to get the most out of ME3.

Mass Effect 3
5The game itself for me was a let down. I loved the me2 game and was looking forward to me3 but it doesn't touch me2 in my opinion. The main reason for this is the decisions you make in the previous games, which don't have much of an effect on the game or storyline.

Very good tho confusing story line
4I was given the 2nd game for christmas and really enjoyed it so I was really looking forward to Mass Effect 3. I wasn't disappointed. The game play is pretty much exactly the same as the 2nd in the series with the exception of a few minor changes such as not being able to "hack" into stuff to receive credits etc. I really enjoyed the game play as it was just shooting things, which is pretty fun! However the story line was a bit confusing. The main story line was fair easy to understand but then you get all these subplots which can be slightly confusing. Plus there's a part of the game where you can check the strength of the galaxy's military but I have no idea how to increase it! :P The graphics are simply stunning and I really enjoyed some of the explosions and battle scenes. The music, however, was the real kicker to this game as it really added to the quality of it! In summary: Graphics: 8/10 Music/Sound: 9/10 Storyline: 5/10 Gameplay: 7/10 Replayability: 7/10 Overall: 8/10 = highly recommended :)

Mass Effect 3
5The Mass Effect series redefines sci-fi gaming, and is simply the pinnacle of the genre. Mass Effect 3 is an essential game for anyone who enjoys gaming. It's an emotional and engrossing experience. Once the player has customised their own Commander Shepard, they're sent to save the galaxy from the Reaper threat. Each players game will turn out a little different from the next. Mass Effect 3 itself is the end of the journey, and those who are new to the series could feel a little lost, however, the game attempts to recap without boring those who have been there from the start. Compared to the other two, Mass Effect 3 is definitely polished off. The game-play is smooth and intense, especially when youre taking on a synthetic life form the size of a skyscraper. The graphics are beautiful, and at times, you find yourself just taking in the surroundings. The relationship between you and your crew members isnt as complex as Mass Effect 2, though the emotional attachment remains. There is a vast range of customisation, so players can tweak amour and guns just to their liking, aswell. The multi-player aspect is co-operative, and sometimes it can be hard to find other players that will play with others of a lower level, as they don't have much trust for them, but the multi-player only really reasserts that Mass Effect 3 is a single player game, as it merely complements the single player experience. The only real disappointment with the game is the ending, but this can be overlooked, as the journey itself is like nothing you have experienced before. Mass Effect 3 is a step away from perfection, only falling at the last hurdle, but it should not be enough to put anyone off buying what is possibly the most important game of 2012.
