4Lord of the Rings: War in the North is one of the best Lord of the Rings games I've ever played, and every fan of the books and movies should get this. The story is good, and you'll get to meet a lot of "old friends" while playing. Even if you don't care about Lord Of The Rings, you should buy this if you like hack and slash RPG games like Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath.

4Overall Lord of the Rings: War in the North is good if you like RPGs. Graphics are very good and gameplay is as you would expect for RPG. Characters, scenery and look/feel are true to the LotR films. Story sort of runs alongside LotR - you are in a group that goes off to seek out one of Sauron's henchmen in the north at the same time as the 'Frodo' expedition is about to start on the ring quest. Quite a bit of chat and interaction between the characters but you can skip that if you want to. Blood and gore is about the right level - not over the top for the PEGI rating. It's quite difficult to come out of the boss fights in one attempt but you play with 2 other CG characters who can regenerate you.

5This is the first LOR game I have purchased and if all the rest are as good as this game . I will have to get them also . Brilliant game .graphics very good . overall just a great game .
