4If you are looking for an RPG co-op game for the PS3, this is a must-have. Especially if you are a LOTR fan. Snowblind made a very decent job in this game integrating part of the storyline, that is, grounded in details within the Lord of the rings books. It has good gameplay and I expect many hours of good fun.

5I got a pair of copies of this game, as I played it on PC, and I thought my son and I could co-op online on PS3. I really enjoyed the PC game and there was always players joining my game, so when I got this I was surprised to find players waiting to join the game when I just fired up the start. You should start single player to do customisations and side quests in Bree. My son absolutely adores this game, he thinks it's amazing and is putting down Dark Souls for a while, as he is dab hand at that game and wants to play this. He can't believe how good it is. I am pleased, it worked out well. Good game although Metacritic doesn't rate it highly. I would take no notice as there is no shortage of online players and the game has been out quite some time. The price is thumbs-up too. Go get it. You will not be disappointed!

4This Lord of the Rings: War in the North game was well worth the money. To be honest I thought is wasn't going to be that good but once I put the game in I found that I couldn't put my pad down. I haven't played multiplayer yet but the gameplay is great. Even if you are not a fan of the films, I'm sure you would enjoy playing it; for the price you can't go wrong!

A good game for the genre adepts
4If you like a good game of sword and spells, and you fancy the LOTR theme, you'll love this game. The story is good, it tells a side-story to the original trilogy plot. You cant control main characters like Aragorn, but you find them on your journeys, making you feel like if youre part of the main plot. Its an RPG, you have to choose your gear, you have several weapons and equipment to choose from, and you level your characters. All in all, its a great game for RPG-fans.

Fantastic Game
4Lord of the ring, war in the north is another great addition to the Tolkien Universe. Usually with these things you find that the films don't do any justice to the source material and that the games don't do any justice to the films. Amazingly, despite the incredible quality of the originial material, the films were as good as the books and the games actually add detail and intricacy to what is already one of the most intricate plots of all time. Gameplay wise this is great fun particular in Co-op mode- one of the best games in its genre at the moment, and graphics are exquisite.

Great Game - anyone can play and love
4Loved lord of the rings, loved war in the north almost as much. If you have any friends who are lord of the rings geeks, then this game is a must buy, otherwise its still fun, particularly if you enjoyed the films. Storyline is based on the some of the appendices and side stories that appear in some of tolkien's more obscure middle earth based stories, like the Silmarillion. Good game play and always fun to relive LOTR stories.

Great Hack and Slash
4Big shout for LOTR fans and RPG gamers generally. Basically the plot gives you a bit of back story from the appendices of Lord of the Rings and more of the insanely detailed world that Tolkien created. Game is a hack and slash RPG, challenging but in a way that's fun, rather than frustrating. I'd definitely recommend it and I'll probably be coming back to it soon myself.

Amazing Game
5The graphics in Lord of the Rings: War in the North would be one of the best, if not the best (I would say it is even better than Skyrim). Storyline was great and side quests were not too many or too little. Great co-op features, just have to be careful with the save option when playing co-op (you have to be in the same chapter as the other party to avoid loss of levels or inventories. Other than that, I would say the game is perfect (light-action RPG game with a little bit of gore).
