Hilarious and Addictive fun.

Hyperdimension Neptunia is a series that from the start has had hilarious writing and fleshed out character personalities and this latest installment is no different. Being a direct sequel to HDN Mk2 the characters return though this time Neptune is back in the main role over Nepgear while many new characters are introduced, just as funny and well-written as ever. The Gameplay mechanics are built upon further from Mk2, the battle system being largely similar, though now with no need to build up SP or use AP, combos are now built up using CP you earn through levelling up and can always be used to their fullest once built, SP starts off full so HDD and SP skills can be used much more frequently while the new EXE Gauge allows EX Finishes and Assist attacks on the end of combos along with the immensely powerful EXE Drives along with Coupling and Formation attacks where characters team up to unleash devastating moves. The Lily Rank system returns, though now offering extra benefits for being raised including Assist attacks for partnered characters as well as bonuses such as extra EXP, reduced SP cost for skills and reduced wait time for actions. This however does bring up one problem with the game that sadly prevents it getting a full 5 Stars, the cutscenes that should raise Lily Rank don't currently work - instead you have to rely on characters fighting battles together as the only way to raise it. This does mean the game has some technical flaws but despite them I still believe it to be a very enjoyable experience and well worth the purchase.

The best of the saga

Hyperdimension Neptunia: Victory is the last game of this saga. I have had hours of fun and there are more characters.
