Dragon Age II is a single player role-playing game (RPG) for play on the Xbox 360. Epic sequel to the BioWare developed 2009 Game of the Year, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II continues the adventure with a new hero, Hawke, and utilizes the choices made by the player to affect a story that spans ten years worth of time in-game. Additional game features include: the ability to choose your character's class and sex, a new cinematic in-game experience, a nonlinear narrative and the ability to import saved information from earlier Dragon Age games.
Embark on an all-new adventure spread across a ten-year span of years with an all-new hero in the multiple award-winning Dragon Age saga. In Dragon Age II you are Hawke, said to have been one of the few to survive the destruction of your homeland. Forced to fight for survival, you gathered the deadliest of allies, amassed fame and fortune and sealed your place in history, eventually becoming in effect a legend in your own time. But legends are all in the telling.
Dragon Age II utilizes a nonlinear narrative, taking the form of a story-within-a-story that hinges upon your exploits as told by the storyteller, Varick. Yet like any good storyteller, Varick tends to exaggerate from time to time. When questioned on events related to Hawke, Varick may present a different scenario in which Hawke's exploits play out. It is within these replays that the decisions of the players hold sway, as their particular versions of Hawke relive these events. Is the player's particular version of Hawke, male or female? A warrior, a rogue, or a mage? Is Hawke good-natured or something less than a salt-of-the-Earth type? Is romance in the air amongst characters he/she associates with? These choices are all the player's to make and each affect the the outcome of the story at all levels.
Features:
- Embark upon an all-new adventure that takes place across an entire decade and shapes itself around every decision you make
- Determine your rise to power from a destitute refugee to the revered champion of the land
- Think like a general and fight like a Spartan with dynamic new combat mechanics that put you right in the heart of battle whether you are a mage, rogue, or warrior
- Go deeper into the world of Dragon Age with an entirely new cinematic experience that grabs hold of you from the beginning and never lets go
- Discover a whole realm rendered in stunning detail with updated graphics and a new visual style
- Story-within-a-story nonlinear narrative style

Dragon Age 2
Dragon Age 2 is an incredible game. The story is engaging and the action is very fast-paced. I was a fan of Dragon Age: Origins.I feel like Dragon Age 2 expands and improves on everything Dragon Age: Origins did. The story-telling, the graphics, the action, the characters, and the villains, I think it is a very good game, has a fantastic characterization and the RPG system has been streamlined to only the armor of the characters in the party for the rest of the gameplay mechanics are like the first. If you liked Dragon Age: Origins, you will like Dragon Age 2.

Dragon Age 2
I enjoyed Dragon Age 2 immensely. It's a story about one man's rise to glory. You will laugh and cry but in the end you'll have lots and lots of fun, whilst slaughtering darkspawns. Get it.

Dragon Age 2
Anyone who can say that they have finished Dragon Age: Origins, should definitely buy this game as well. And it doesn't disappoint:quite the contrary even. It still has the same epic story, with a grand monumental task just for you and your party.Great "eye-candy" locations, superb voice-acting (sometimes I just had to stop and listen to my party members' funny conversation),and a level of customization you're used to from an RPG. So,if you have a little time to spare (approx.50-60 hours),try this game out, you'll find that it was the most fun you've had on the PS3 for a long time.

Dragon Age 2
Dragon Age 2 is a fantastic title has changed a lot over its predecessor starting with the most spectacular combat system and less oriented strategy and allows you more control over what surrounds the battle. Another important change is the decision-making system very similar to mass effect but with a greater weight in the plot. As bad the game is that it has taken a big leap graph and the first game will spend hours talking with various characters who populate the big city where the main plot is developed. Therefore dragon age 2 should be a must buy for any gamer who likes action games.

Decent RPG, different from DA : Origins
More button-mashing than its predecessor, streamlined design, less of a world to explore and repetitive quests. Still good buy for Bioware fans and Dragon age & Mass effect series fans.

Smashing sequel
Two years ago I found out that my favorite developer is about to release a new game, and bought it right away. It became one of my favorite games, and was actually the reason I met my current girlfriend. Now that they released a sequel I couldn't help but buy it. DAII has everything you loved from the first game - and even more! Renewed fighting mechanism ensures that no one will get bored while watching amazing new moves and techniques. Also there are now plenty of new enemies, so it's not just a war against the darkspawn and spiders! One of the best new qualities are the dialogues that are now fully voices. Just pick your choice and listen your character voicing out your opinion! DAII is a great game and I recommend it to anyone! You will have many fun hours to explore every detail of the story, and you can always start yet another campaign with another choices! Possibilities are almost endless!

enter the dragon
i loved the first chapter of this game and this sequel didn't disappoint me at all. a little bit more action and a little less RPG, with a great plot and a wonderful character design. The combat system is simplified but really fun and the side quests are infinite. Definitely an addicting game!

Whatever happened to the Wardens???
Dragon Age 2 is fairly detached from its predecessor in many ways. The location is different, the characters and indeed the very way the combat and story progression works. Even the art style has little resemblance. As many people purchasing this game will do so after playing the first title in the series, I feel it important to stress that this game is vastly different. But is it any good? I will not discuss the story here to avoid spoilers, but will instead focus on the gameplay. Combat is perhaps the biggest change, now being far more button bashing though pausing to issue new orders is still a vital part of the game. It is for the most part fairly enjoyable and the combat effects are quite impressive. Character progression has been improved in my opinion, with branching skill trees and a large number of classes available though your ability to customize the appearance of party members has strange limitations. For example, a set of armour you find may only be equipped directly to the main character. The character interaction, a key part of the previous title, has been streamlined but is for the most part still excellent. Quests are perhaps one of the things people have mostly complained about in this title as many areas are constantly recycled, so you can expect to be sent to the same set of caves many times to tackle different enemies. On the one hand there is loads of content as a result and the game will take many hours to beat, on the flip side the immersion in the game world takes a steep hit. Anyone who remembers the hundreds of beautiful drawn areas in games like Baldurs Gate will know what I mean. Despite the vastly superior graphics the world seems less alive here. Overall then Dragon Age 2 has many good qualities and it is a bargain at the moment so I recommend it to most RPG fans and even those who enjoy action games. Those hoping however that the game would be much like its predecessor but with more detail had best check out some gameplay footage before buying.
