Super Game!

I love Tomb Raider! There are many skill upgrades, special moves and weapon add-ons. The graphics are brilliant.

Tomb Raider - Review

This new rendition of Tomb Raider is very good, it's fascinating to see Lara transition from an academic person to a survivor, capable of taking on any challenge. The controls are excellent and the same can be said for the graphics, especially the new TressFX hair technology. This game is very different from the initial rendition of the franchise, as this is more focused on the action set pieces and Lara, instead of exploration and solving puzzles, in fact there isn't much tomb raiding going on. Game feels a bit short, clocking at around 15h, but multi-player can compensate for this even though it is competent at best.

Tomb Raider

After playing every Tomb Raider/Lara Croft game ever made I was very disappointed in this one. There was no list of control keys so you had a pop up to press a key and had only a split second to do so before being killed which means you can die a thousand deaths before memorising the keys presses. The game play is rubbish as one minute you are controlling Lara and then suddenly a video sequence takes over and then back to you having control without any warning and you have no option but to follow the game plan when there are obvious other ways of doing things. There is no save key and if you are killed you are sent back to the last auto save. The graphics are poor and most of the action takes place in the dark or pouring rain. In conclusion I feel I have been generous giving in 2 stars.

Amazing Title!

At first I got super hyped when the reviews I read gave an average score of 8+/10, what can I say, the game lives to its hype, it was really great! One can say that it is very similar to Uncharted, I concur, however Tomb Raider is far more bloody than Uncharted. This makes the game-play more unique as death scenes are much more brutal than that of other adventure games. All weapons are upgradeable by gathering resources and secret areas are also included like the original series, the game also includes tombs which are kind of a side mini-puzzle, but intelligently crafted. The only downside of this game is that it is quite short at just 6 hours game-play to complete the main missions (without collecting all secrets), but does offer multiplayer (haven't tried that out yet). Some reviewers also said that the game is far too unrealistic regarding the ordeal Lara goes through, however it does not affect me, it's only a game after all. Who cares as long as it's entertaining! 5/5 from me, must be played.

Tomb Raider

This was my first time playing a Tomb Raider game and I found it to be very entertaining indeed, the story line was good and the graphics were amazing. You find yourself feeling the immersion / pain of the young Lara and her quest. Only real complaint is that on a pc the "tappy tappy" of keys in quick time events is a real game breaker, fortunately there's not a lot of them. All said and done, I am at what I think is near end and stuck on a boss fight. A big yes as far as recommending though.

Tomb Raider

Brilliant game from start to finish. Great story, amazing gameplay and top notch graphics. My only complaint is too many quick time events! Square enix have outdone themselves recently with Deus Ex, Hitman and now Tomb Raider. I can't wait to see what they bring out next.
