Game

I played this game before and really liked it. And now I saw the price and said what the heck :) For everyone who love to play the classicals.

Great concept

Let me start off by saying that I wan't expecting too much of this title. The gameplay movies and screenshots don't really do the game justice in terms of graphics. They are quite detailed and the game has some of the best looking fire effects that I have seen in such a game. So you go and do different missions for various persons, take over businesses and ultimately try to eradicate the rival families. But it's the implementation what makes it great. To take over businesses you have to get past the other families' guards in that area and intimidate the owner (you also get bonuses for finding his or her weak points). You do that by wrecking the place, strangling the owner, throwing him/her around and other things like that. If you own all of the businesses of a certain type, you get some important bonuses, like bulletproof vests, bulletproof cars, bigger ammo clips, fire bullets and more, which dramatically increase your chances of survival. One of the cooler things is that you can choose how to approach taking over a business, giving you some strategical options, like going on the nearby building's rooftop and sniping the outside guards from there, send your own men to do the job for you or burst in the front door like in any decent action movie. You can even make diversions by bombing things around the place or blow up walls to get to the owner faster. The game is a lot deeper than this, with a great number of executions, corrupt officials to grant you favors, robbing banks and visiting a few different cities. It doesn't go as deep as a Grand Theft Auto game, nor are the cities as big, but there's plenty in it to make it worthwile.
