4What you come to expect from the football manager series. This edition seems a lot harder than previous,maybe not a bad thing, so expect a steep learning curve.

5What can I say? If you have been addicted to football manager before your going to need therapy to put this one down! My girlfriend refers to football manager 2014 as my mistress!!

5I checked all the usual sites - Ebay, Amazon etc and found Zavvi to be the best value by far and as I was buying 2 for presents this added up to quite a saving. I received them 4 days after ordering do the usual spot on Zavvi service.

A complete regression of the tactical system
3Very disappointing changes to the tactical system. It is very simplified compared to FM13 and FM12, which is very unfortunate for someone who is used to using advanced and detailed tactical approach for every game. There are no sliders to control the "defensive line", "tempo", "width", etc for the whole team. There are no sliders to adjust individual player's tactics. There is no option to set the defensive mentalities of individual players. It seems that they only way to adjust tactics is by setting up "touchline instructions" for the team and the players before the game even begins Obviously you can alter these during the game but it is still no where near as detailed as the advanced tactics in the previous versions of FM. I personally really enjoyed the level of detail on FM13 and expected FM14 tactics to be even more in-depth and challenging but ended up with having to use touchline instruction as the only means of tactical adjustment. The "tactical overhaul" is a complete rubbish! P.S. Mario Balotelli is rated 5 stars for some strange reason. Also, too many players are rated 4.5 to 5 stars. Way too many. If you look at FM11 and FM12, you'd be lucky to find one or two 5 star players in the whole game, making it more realistic. There are of course positives, but I can't think of too many right now.
