Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for PlayStation 3 and Windows PC that invites you to explore the realm of Eorzea with friends from around the world.

Story Overview
Eorzea. A land embraced by Gods and forged by Heroes.
Seeking control of this realm and its abundant crystal resources, the Garlean Empire sends forth a massive host on a campaign to conquer its southern neighbour. Driven by madness, the commander of the invading forces silently plots to tear the moon from the heavens and hurl it down upon the land. The people of the realm soon learn of this foul scheme and join their hands in prayer in an eleventh-hour attempt to entreat the aid of the gods, only to see their endeavours fail. From within the moon emerges Bahamut, an ancient terror seething with rage fuelled by countless generations of imprisonment. Sensing the tug of fate, a powerful magus channels the last of his strength to send Eorzea's heroes in to a temporal rift. There they wait, untouched by the flames of destruction, until they are needed again. Those heroes are you, and the hour of awakening is now. Come and witness... A Realm Reborn.

Excellent
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Collector's Edition is mandatory for all fans of Final Fantasy. You can do all classes with only a character like Final Fantasy XI With a craft system, an epic main story, a multitude of side quests and a housing system that's coming soon.

Great MMO
Despite the MMO genre being on the loose, Final Fantasy XIV made a remake of the game and win it on all the fronts. The game is gorgeous, plays really good either on PC or PS3 and the community is wonderful. One little bad thing is the price for the subscription which is a little expensive but it's worth it. Been playing with friends and my girlfriend for weeks and don't think I'll stop soon. Bonus: Living in Canada, I received the game in 8days. Didn't expect it to be so quick.

Very nice
The world itself didn't change much in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Collector's Edition, and that's a good thing. The world is still a bit constricted, meaning you can't for example jump off very high cliffs due to invisible walls, but it has improved a lot since the original FFXIV. A very nice touch is that you see traces from the calamity everywhere, while a lot just stayed the same. Little details everywhere make the world seem better: there's a going-to-sleep sequence when you log off or exit in an inn bedroom (with a downplayed version of the typical FF victory tune), in very crowded places (lot a players in the same spot) you notice a lot of mumbling and muffled shouting. When travelling on a chocobo you get a tune and an animation, and NPC's really react to you. It all makes the world seem so much nicer. The way you build your character is unique: there are five fighting classes (disciples of War), three magic using classes (disciples of Magic), three gathering classes (disciples of the Land) and eight crafting classes (disciples of the Hand), and one character can learn them all. You'll have to learn each class starting from level 1. Of course, quests can't be re-done on the same character, even if he is another class.

Reborn again!
As a long time player of the Final Fantasy series, it was only a matter of time before I delved into Realm Reborn and I was not disappointed with this Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - Collector's Edition. This is an amazing blend of story, action and depth. There is so much to do, so much to see, and once you have reached the top level the game does not end there. I can't recommend this enough, you will have a great time and at its current price, it's well worth the money.
