The action role playing title Baroque has made it to shelves with an original level structure and frenetic action.
After a catastrophic event across the land, citizens find themselves trapped inside a living nightmare that can seemingly not be escaped. The player will awaken in this nightmare land, with no memory and the feeling of an unexplained remorse that makes little sense. To escape this place, the player is tasked with heading downward through the ruined world of Neuro Tower to find answers.
Baroque uses a dungeon system that generates a new layout each time a player enters. This means that whenever the player steps into an area, it will never be the same twice. Death has also been given a fresh twist. When the player dies in Baroque, this doesn’t mean the game will end. Many of Baroque’s story elements and features can be found in the title’s underworld, and so death will merely shine light onto the games complex plot.
Though Baroque follows a traditional dungeon crawler style, in many respects it attempts new and interesting gameplay challenges that give the genre a refreshing new gameplay feel.
