Fantastic game
5Resident Evil: Revelations is one of the must-have 3DS games out now! Capcom have definitely returned to Resident Evil's roots with this game; the creepy atmosphere of every location in the game helps to increase the sense of tension that you experience as you go around every corner or every dark corridor. Definitely a 3DS essential, five stars!

Resident Evil: Revelations (3DS)
5I first saw this title when Nintendo came to where I work, promoting the 3DS, and to be honest, this is why I got the console. The graphics are great, and it's one of the only games I can play with the 3D mode turned on. If you like 3D in the menu, you can choose to turn the extremity of the 3D up, so the background just flies back . The game-play is excellent. By switching from character to character, you get a better feel to the whole story. If you have not played the game for a few days, and forgot what's going on, it updates you with a short film of your progress in the game. I highly recommend you buy it.

Resident Evil: Revelations (3DS)
5Resident Evil: Revelations is split into a number of chapters, and sees players control Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and a few other characters through a variety of missions, so you'll find yourself venturing through many environments, including snow-covered peaks, deserted cruise ships, and cities under siege. I think this mixture of environments is a good way of making sure players don't get bored. Resident Evil: Revelations throws away the tank controls of older games, keeping the third-person control scheme, and shooting action seen in Resident Evils 4 and 5. This means you can shoot from both 3rd person or first person views, to fit your game-play style. The Circle Pad pro is supported, and is a must-have, as it helps the game play like a console game, as if it were something you'd play on an Xbox 360, or Playstation 3. I highly recommend it.

Resident Evil: Revelations (3DS)
4Before Resident Evil: Revelations was released, Capcom justified the high price because they viewed it as a full-fledged game, being comparable with stationary console games, which most people agree, was a bad assumption. Although the price was too high at that time for a hand-held game, it really is a very high-quality product. The graphics, I'd say, are the best you will see on the 3DS, especially the 3D effects - they're great, and you can enhance them in the graphic options. The music and effects underline the horror atmosphere very well, and at times, you even get goosebumps. With the Circle Pro Pad, the game-play is very smooth. It feels like you're playing on a stationary console like an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. The multi-player is comparable with the Mercenary mode in other Resident Evil games, so is therefore great! The online mode is compatible to play with other gamers as well, and works nicely. On a negative note, backtracking occurs quite often, and should not be an issue in a modern game. I've had major problems when playing in a well-lit area, due to the surroundings in the game being dark, but this is just down to the mirror-effect, which makes the visibility whilst playing close to zero. It's a major mood-killer. The puzzles feel like they were made for small children. This game is supposed to be sold to adults, and therefore, one can expect to get puzzles that go above a primary school level. Overall though, I think this is one of the best games you will find available for the Nintendo 3DS. If Capcom had avoided the aforementioned problems, this game could have taken its place among the main Resident Evil series and been named "Resident Evil 6". I recommend it highly though.

Resident Evil Revelations
5Over the past decade, the Resident Evil series has changed dramatically from Resident Evil 1 to Resident Evil 5. With the latter game was hated by most of its fans since CAPCOM made it more like an action game and not survival horror. Now CAPCOM decided to bring the series back to its roots with Resident Evil Revelations. Built from the ground up to take advantage of the 3DS features, this game is without a doubt the best looking 3DS game to date. Amazing character designs, great graphics, lighting and its environments is what Resident Evil 5 should have been. After you have completed the story, you may want to enjoy the Raid mode where you can meet other players online and let's you battle with horde of zombies/enemies. There are many stages, characters, costumes, weapons and upgrades on the raid mode that you can choose from. Thus, this game has tons of replay value. And don't forget to try the Hell mode once you have finished the normal mode. This mode will bring fear to life.
