Yogi Bear

This film is adorable. A great comedy for adults and children. A film I would recommend to watch more than once.

Yogi Bear

Having grown up with the Yogi Bear cartoons as a child, I really enjoyed this film. Good fun and enjoyment for the whole family. Well worth a watch for a bit of light entertainment.

Everyones friendliest bear next to Winnie The Pooh but watch out for him! A classic tale of fun and adventure. Great animation and action throughout. Yogi is definitely back for good. Keeps everyone smiling throughout! Dont forget this summer whilst on a picnic bear ware!!!! Someone may join you!

Who needs a storyline when you got Yogi Bear

This is by no means a classic, there is an absence of a real story which makes this an excellent film for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Dan Ackroyd and Justin Timberlake are brilliantly cast as Yogi and Boo Boo, as for the rest of the cast - who cares the film isn't about them. The "plot" consists of Mayor Brown (Andrew Daly) wanting to sell Jellystone Park to loggers in order to save the town from Bankruptcy and get re-elected. Obviously Yogi and Co get up to all sorts of high jinx in order to save their home. If you do not like Yogi Bear then this is not a film for you, if you (like me) like Yogi and remember watching him when you were younger then get this film for when you want something to watch but don't want to have to think too much.

Yogi Bear

I think we adults sometimes forget that these films are for kids not us and therefore should be seen through their eyes. I found this big screen live action/animation mix pretty charmless, however my six year old daughter loved it - there's plenty of slapstick, the animation is first-rate and detailed (e.g. when Yogi's fur gets wet) and the voices are very good impersonations of those from the old Hanna-Barbera cartoon. At a mere eighty minutes the film manages to avoid outstaying its welcome too; the human actors seem pretty embarrassed throughout and the script is insipid, however I can guarantee that it'll hit the spot for the averrraaage kid - smart or no

Good Rework

This is a rework of a classic that actually does work. Ok, so Yogi and Booboo have been updated for the modern youngster but he really looks like a "modern day" equivalent of the Yogi I remember from the 1970's. I was nervous about taking my 10 and 8 year olds to see this, but am happy to say that they thoroughly enjoyed it. The story (which I was worried would be a little unsophisticated), was excellent, while keeping the loveable essence of Yogi. All in all, a wonderful re-working of a much loved children's cartoon character.
