West Ham United's 2011/12 season ended in the joy of promotion to the Barclays Premier League following victory over Blackpool in the npower Championship Play-Off final at Wembley.
The plan for 2012/13 was simple - improve the squad and consolidate the Club's position in the top-flight.
The Board and manager Sam Allardyce brought in the experienced Matt Jarvis, Mohamed Diame, Jussi Jaaskelainen and James Collins and made a statement of intent by signing England centre forward Andy Carroll on a season-long loan from Liverpool.
The moves paid dividends as West Ham made a strong start to the campaign, scoring a number of fine victories, including a 3-1 win over European champions Chelsea.
The New Year saw West Ham recover from a slight downturn in form to maintain their position in the relative comfort of mid-table.
Off the pitch, the Club was also able to celebrate being named anchor concessionaire of the London 2012 Olympic Stadium.
West Ham ended another impressive season in the Barclays Premier League's top ten - some achievement for a newly-promoted Club.
