Unstoppable
2Denzel Washington plays train driver Frank Barnes, an old timer with 28 years on the clock who's being forced into early retirement. While working on the train one day an unmanned, 39-truck freight train is hurtling towards them. Frank and his new colleague must stop the train before catastrophe strikes. There is some good action in this, but apart from that not much else going on.

4This is the latest pairing of Denzel Washington and director Tony Scott after Crimson Tide, Man On Fire, Deja vu and The Taking Of Pelham 1 2 3. A very enjoyable film, based on true events, it all starts off with an incompetent engineer forgetting to put the brakes on a train. Very well acted with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine, Captain Kirk from the new Star Trek movie on fine form and with a very good supporting cast. Unfortunately all the characters are cliches. Denzel's the man coming up to a forced retirement, Chris Pine is the new kid on the block and they start off not liking each other very much. You also have the corporate man, Kevin Dunn from the Transformers movies, who cares more about profit then saving lives and i could go on and on. In short, think of every disaster or action movie you've ever seen and chances are the characters will be there. However Unstoppable is a lot of fun with terrific action scenes, as i said very well acted and despite the cliches you do get to care about these guys. Well worth a watch! Think Speed on a train!
