Great Purchase
5I was a bit apprehensive about this d.v.d as I had read so many bad reviews saying it was not as good as the original. I ordered it and I am very pleased with the quality of the picture and the sound. I have wanted this series for a long time as it tells the true story of the wars and it will be helpful for my son who is doing History at University. I have only watched one of the disks at the moment but I shall be watching the rest in time.

5I've been after this for ages, but it's normally expensive, or out of stock. Absolute bargain. The quality of restoration compared to the original is amazing. A must have for anyone interested in history.

4The box set arrived very quickly. The quality of the restored material is perfectly acceptable and very watchable. I watched the entire series on the television in the 1970s and enjoyed being able to see it all again.

5Bought this for my husband, just a week ago, and he's already watched 8 dvd's, and loved them! Would definitely recommend this box set to anyone who is into this era of time. Well worth the money!!

The Best of the Best
5Easily the most informative World War 2 documentary you will ever see or own. With lots of extras and the restored footage, its the best.

same but better
5As anybody familiar with the series knows, it is one of the best World War II docs ever made. Now digitally remastered the picture and sound are excellent, much better than I remember in History at school on VHS! An excellent presentation, including informative documentaries on how it has been cleaned up.

5Classic must have DVD box set! Brought memories back of being transfixed to this superb WW2 documentary in the eighties. Contains amazing historical facts & footage. No brainer purchase!
