The River Wild
This is a real action adventure film in the most amazing settings. You feel you are there, white water rafting with them at every turn in the river and down every rapid. Meryl Streep is superb, she always is. She is such a strong character, you feel every emotion she is going through and will her to get through the ordeal safely. The rest of the characters are particularly well cast (including Maggie the dog) and worked well together to make the whole thing gel. Tensions runs high, the film moves on quickly and in the end you really want to see the bad guy get his comeuppance.
