Midsomer Priory houses the nuns of the Order of St Mathilde, a community which has very little to do with the outside world. When one of the nuns is found murdered, the Priory has to open its doors to the world of modern policing.
Barnaby and Jones discover that the Priory is subject to a Deed of Trust and will house the Order as long as there is a community living there. When the community no longer exists it reverts back to heirs of the benefactor. Will Barnaby find the heirs and can the motive for murder be that simple?
