Epic
There really is only one word that can accurately describe this masterpiece. As a film it is entertaining, the characters are developed, the effects are jaw-droppingly good (shame about how primitive 3D cinema is still) and the plot is simply fantastic. Apart from the 3D being a little disappointing when I saw it in the cinema, there is really little that can be faulted with this film. I shall be watching the DVD over and over :D

Happy Ta
Watched it the other day and it's just as good in 2d as it is in 3d to be honest, it doesn't make any difference at all i think the 3d was just a novelty aspect that didn't really need to be there. I really like the film you get through near enough 3hours of entertainment without noticing it's been that long and the story is really good to it too. Well worth buying if you didn't go and see it at the cinema and at 14pound it's probably just 7pounds more than you would have payed at the cinema but get to keep for a lifetime.

Must see even if predictable
Avatar is a must see, even in 2D. I won't go into the story for 2 reasons: 1. everyone probably knows the story 2. it's unoriginal, it's been done many times. Avatar is worth watching for the fantastic special effects, good location design, terrific computer generated characters & set and overall it's just a great film to watch. The big disappointments for me were the unoriginal/predictable story of the bad guy turn good guy who helps the poor natives and also the similarities between the native tribes and American Indians which I felt was unnecessary. This is one to definitely watch but for the visual feast only, don't expect to be moved by the story.

Amazing Avatar
Quite simply one of the best movies i have ever watched ! James Cameroon surpassed himself in this one and i just cant believe it didn't receive the oscar for best movie of the year ! Amazing sound and video effects ( no wonder hundreds of millions were spent on it), supported by a fantastic and unusual story line, great actors. Not watching Avatar is like missing out on Titanic, u just can't ignore such epic movies. If u want a little indication, Avatar surpassed Titanic by having the highest box office revenues in history, collecting more than 1 billion world-wide. An amazing experience that will not disapoint anyone, live in a magical and splendid world, full of action and adventure and epic filming ! a must see

A spectacle in 3D
Avatar, in 3D on a big screen, was quite an experience. It will be interesting though to see what an impact it can make in 2D, on a living room TV set. I suspect that the flimsiness of the plot and dialogue will be more apparent when you don't feel like you're having your eyes poked out by Na'vi spears, but only time will tell...
