A style of his own
This incredible set collects practically all of Werner Herzog's output up until 1987, including the seminal Aguirre, Fitzcarraldo, The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser and Cobra Verde. Herzog is one of the most lyrical and poetic filmmakers around. His focus on characters and their obsessions are unique in cinema, as is his approach to documentary filmmaking, and show no clear influences. He is a true stylists with a clear identity. Anyone interested in cinema should purchase this set to learn about one of the medium's most individual characters and to get a chance to see some of the best films produced in the second half of the 20th Century.
