The Horror Show presents -
When lawyer and proud family man Chris Cleek (True Blood's Sean Bridgers) stumbles across a wild, feral woman (Filth's Pollyanna McIntosh) bathing in a woodland stream near his isolated country home, he makes a decision that will dramatically change both their lives.
Capturing her, Chris chains The Woman up in the fruit cellar below his house, intending to tame and civilize her. But when the task at hand proves to be more difficult than first imagined, he sets in motion a collision course for a brutal showdown between his family and the wild female force of nature... From author Jack Ketchum (The Girl Next Door, The Lost) and director Lucky McKee (May, All Cheerleaders Die), The Woman is laced with intense savagery and dark humour that builds to a haunting and simply unforgettable climax.

THE WOMAN (Product Review)
What an amazing independent film. If you haven’t yet had an opportunity to obtain a copy of this Lucky McGee movie, the zavvi steelbook release version is an essential purchase. The product itself is very appealing; with the steelbook cover art enjoying a slight metallic undertone to the image, not too dissimilar to the zavvi The Wicker Man steelbook release. Altho there is no back cover art per se, the product doesn’t suffer for it. The menu format is simple, intuitive and very easy to navigate, and there are some nice bonus inclusions for this release, including an animated short by the Director, Lucky McGee. The main feature film enjoys a fantastic 5.1 audio option, the bluray visual transfer is crisp & clean, and the film itself is presented in a full-frame aspect ratio. The only negative consideration with this release was the total absence of subtitles for the main film. German silent films from the 1920’s era have subtitles. The Wicker Man from the 1970’s has subtitles. The Woman, a film from the 21st Century... has no subtitles. Even the animated short film included with this release... has subtitles! But the main feature film itself? Nope. Such a shame, in an otherwise wonderful steelbook release from zavvi. Still worth the purchase, and zavvi once again shipped & delivered the product on time & with a great price tag. Thanks guys.

THE WOMAN - ZAVVI STEELBOOK.
Ok, this is just a review for the steelbook. Haven't watched the movie yet but was prompted to buy it having seen the trailer, and then saw that Zavvi were doing this limited edition Steelbook at a stupendous price, was a no brainer really. This Steelbook is beautiful! No embossing or de-bossing, but who cares. The colours, the artwork......real nice! Picked it up, looked at it, scratched my head, and then thought, "Yeah, i will." So i did.......i bought a 2nd one! If you are a Steelbook collector then add this to your library. At this price, you cant go wrong! Thanks Zavvi, and keep coming up with these uniquely designed horror Steelbooks, they really are great!

Great film with an equally great steelbook.
The Woman is a movie that I initially disliked, though the way it lingered in my subconscious for months after seeing it, made me want to re-visit it and I'm glad I did. It is now one of my favorite horror movies of the last 10 years and i can't possibly recommend it highly enough. The entire cast is wonderful and my initial pleasure on first viewing, was due to how spot on they all were and how emotionally invested I had become in the film. The limited edition steelbook itself is wonderful and the cover art used for it, is far superior, to the cover art in the country where I live. It's also reasonably priced and was securely shipped. It arrived in a timely manner and in perfect shape. This edition is a must own, for fans of the film, as it's the most worthwhile version on the market, in my opinion. I am absolutely thrilled with my investment.

Beautiful steelbook of an already genre classic
The Woman is a very intelligent movie with so much to say about society and the treatment of women. Pollyanna McIntosh as 'The Woman' really has become an iconic character now. Horror icons don't come along too often. Anyone who thinks the movie is misogynistic is missing the point so hard it's funny. It's clearly a feminist tale. The front of the steelbook is absolutely stunning and one of the nicest I've seen. However, they could have put something on the rear other than a texture. Although the texture is beautiful and is a perfect blank space for signing. I'm rather amused by the 'Not Even Action' review here. Obviously this film isn't for people looking for a Michael Bay type movie. For thoughtful people though who like a harsh but intelligent critique of society I doubt you'll be disappointed. Already a genre classic.

The Woman Zavvi Ultra Rare Edition Steelbook - I'm a fan
My copy of the Woman steelbook arrived in a white cardboard box in mint condition. I was disappointed that I could not easily get a copy of the German steelbook, but very surprised that Zavvi announced their version. A very nice steelbook: matte (both front and back) finish with no embossing. However, there are both inside and disc artwork (1 disc - region free). Missed the film in theaters, but recently watched it on blu-ray and have become a fan. Glad to have this steelbook in my collection.

Not even action
First of all, I don't see this movie as real horror movie. The "woman" doesn't act as a character till the end. Anyway it is a light movie with low budget I think. As for the steelbook, it is nice and the artwork and finishing is good. If you are a steelbook freak buy it. For the movie not highly recommended.
