Amazing!!!
Okay so the 4k steel book is top quality the restoration on this film just blows you away. You can see literally everything including the joins by the back cloth in the studio - but that's not important, the colours, the patterns, everything is upgraded and you won't beat this in quality, this is possibly the definitive version! I just hope walt Disney and zavvi restore, clean and release a 4k steelbook of the return to oz... might not be the musical sequel to this film but it's just as incredible and a cult hit! Love these 4k steelbook releases

Wizard of Oz (Steelbook)
Beautifully presented in one of Zavvi's lovely steelbooks of which I am a collector. The film is in wonderful 4k and really comes to life at the point where it turns to colour in the film. A family favourite that we get to enjoy looking at whether its on my shelf looking pretty in the steelbook or whether we are watching it in all it's 4k glory.

Beautiful steelbook and a beautiful restoration
Highly recommended. Lovely steelbook and the 4k picture transfer is excellent. Classic cinema history has never looked so good.

Superb edition
I'm not a major fan of this movie, but I have saw it more times than I care to count. Why? Growing up when I got home from school I put my trusty Star Wars VHS straight on. My cousin did the same with her Wizard of Oz, so just about every time I was in her house it was on. So I am not kidding when I say I have saw this movie well into 3 figures of viewing. I haven't saw any digital versions of this, so can't compare it directly to any other releases. So why did I buy it? Whether its up there with my favourite movies is somewhat irrelevant. It is still is a true classic and I wanted to see how a technicolor filmed release transferred into 4K and my god it's stunning. The colours are bold, vivid yet nuanced. Details pop, like the burlap sacking on the scarecrow or rivets on the tin man. They have cleverly removed any artefacts that were on the original master film(s). Being in technicolor helped them do that, as it uses 3 different rolls of film. Thus it became easy to spot imperfections or dirt as they could compare all 3 rolls and digitally remove the offending artefact. This all adds to a picture which has to better than anything that has been previously seen including when it was first released. It gorgeous to look at it. The sound profile is lovely too. I don't have a full mutli-speaker set-up, but I did listen to it on nice soundbar and its lovely. Speech is always clear, but there is still a presence to everything else that is going on. All in all and excellent addition to anyones 4K library.

I purchased this to add to my steelbook collection, a classic film I've seen many times, I'm glad I purchased it, it is very good

Wizerdly Wonderful Journey to Oz
Having watched this classic many times from the 1970's onward this is the first time I realised Judy Garland has freckles!!!!! The clarity of this disc is simply wonderful,it really brings the characters to life. When the door to Oz is opened the magic truly starts,the depth and details of the sets is finally realised,no doubt as the cast and crew saw it on the day. A must for adults and children alike.

Wiz of a Wiz!
I'm so happy to have gotten a copy of this beautiful Steelbook. The artwork is sublime. As for the HD transfer of the film, it's wonderful. The colours and textures of the film are shown in their best light, and the extra features are fascinating and informative. I've always loved this film, but this edition has elevated that love. I can't recommend enough that you buy this masterpiece.
