Jiro (voiced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) dreams of flying and designing beautiful airplanes, inspired by the famous Italian aeronautical designer Caproni (voiced by Stanley Tucci). Nearsighted from a young age and thus unable to become a pilot, Jiro joins a major Japanese engineering company in 1927 and becomes one of the world's most innovative and accomplished airplane designers.
The film chronicles much of his life, depicting key historical events including The Great Kanto earthquake of 1923, the Great Depression, the tuberculosis epidemic, and Japan's plunge into war. Jiro meets and falls in love with Nahoko (voiced by Emily Blunt) and grows and cherishes his friendship with his colleague Honjo (voiced by John Krasinski).

a must have if u r ghibli fan
Its such a great story ,it takes place on the world war 2 at japan , the protagonist of the film Jiro Horikoshi is strogly passionate about airplanes and his dream is becoming a designer of airplanes, you dont need to have a love for airplanes to watch it , the steelbook design is good as well , i personally got invested by the main character and his crazy passion that he has about them and all those great visuals are portaying it splendidly, i would say the only negative is that the romance was too rushed , other than that it is an amazing story with its beautiful and its sad momments, its going to get sold out soon and all those ghibli limited edition steelbooks are not going to be continued by the manufacturers, its good time to buy it from there because zavvis price on this one is cheap, ive got my own some months ago and am proud to have it

Great movie but some issue with the steelbook
The movie looks wonderful and the steelbook does too, except the interior image on mine is pixelated and zoomed in which is a real shame.. I don't know if I just got a faulty one but the movie itself is wonderful.
