The Warriors
Good film, In 1979 a charismatic leader summons the street gangs of New York City in a bid to take it over. When he is killed, The Warriors are falsely blamed and now must fight their way home while every other gang is hunting them down to kill them. Worth watching good buy.

Put the VHS version on blu-ray!!
When they cut out the original opening scene from coney Island from The Warriors, they took something away from it, but when they made this directors cut they ruined it completely. Do not waste your money!

Amazing
The Warriors is such a good film, and looks even better on blu-ray!

Blu-ray
The quality of this transfer is fantastic but the only sad thing about it is the original theatrical version isn't included! The Director's edition has comic strip images put into the film which only hinder it. Director Walter Hill admits in his introduction that some people don't like this alteration to the film. If it were the theatrical version or both versions on this disc then I would rate it 5 stars.

The Warriors - Blu-ray
Director Walter Hill has made a strange 'update' to this cult classic 'The Warriors'. He has inserted comic strip stills in some of the edit wipes. Unfortunately it breaks the flow of some crucial edits e.g. the reveal of the Baseball Furies waiting for the Warriors outside a subway station is now telegraphed before the wipe negating the characters' reactions. This aside there is a great transfer and it shows off the night time wet streets of NY very well. Sound is good enough and some reasonable extras give this budget package a boost. "Warriors, come out to play...ay"
