Based on the novels f the same name by author L.J. Smith, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is the story of two vampire brothers obsessed with the same beautiful girl, and battling to control the fate of an entire town. Stefan and Damon Salvatore return to the fictional town of Mystic falls for different reasons, one for good the other for evil. Stefan is drawn towards Elena Gilbert, who bears resemblance to a past flame, Katherine Pierce, the beautiful but ruthless vampire the brothers knew and loved in 1864. Damon on the other hand is intent on releasing Katherine from the tomb where he believes she was trapped spell many years ago.

A great show!
Another CW hit! A great show with compelling characters and suspensful storylines! (I like alliteration) If you haven't already seen The Vampire Diaries and you like things like, well, vampires and witches and even werewolves eventually you won't be sorry you gave this awesome show a go! (I like rhyming too) Try it and you won't be disappointed if for no other reason than Ian Somerhalder is HOT :) (I like hot guys aswell) This show just keeps getting better and season 2 (which is currently airing) is continuing this shows awesomeness. Think One Tree Hill meets Buffy! It's a winning combination!
