Accessible Shakespeare!

This is a well-made production of Macbeth that through a combination of the great visual style and the manner of dialogue delivery make for a engaging watch. The restoration is great and the HD presentation can’t really be faulted. The age of the source material shows in places (the film’s opening, so the start of that reel, looks rather weathered) but the visuals for the majority of this BRD look really nice. Some interesting extras including a good documentary with interviews with Roman Polanski, Francesca Annis and Martin Shaw,
