Compliments the Collection
5After purchasing the other 4K John Carpenter releases, I was a bit worried that the release of ‘The Thing’ would deviate away from the style/artwork those releases were presented in. Thankfully this wasn’t the case as the Steelbook compliments these other releases while also being of high quality if bought in isolation. Really happy!!

Outstanding transfer
5One of the best Sci-Fi/Horror movies of all time gets an excellent 4K transfer. Despite some movies being barely different from Blu Ray, thus is definitely an exception. The colours pop and are far brighter, the audio track is first rate and the movie itself with the amazing practical effects still stand up today.

Excellent allround
5Love Universal for hiring the right artist to create a matching artwork with the Studio Canal steelbooks from a while back. Glossy finish is the final cherry on top. Have seen the film countless of times over the past 35+ years but it still is amazing, one of Carpenter's best and looks excellent in 4K. No soulless CGI, the practical effects still work as well as ever.

SUPER DUPER COOL
5I love this film. I’ve seen it many times and every time is like the first time watching it. I bought this steelbook purely as an investment. Let’s hope it goes up in price in time. But to be fair I probably won’t wait and just keep and watch it myself. 😜

5Loved the art work as soon as I saw it already have the film on blu ray but wanted this steelbook Matt excellent work on the covers for all the John carpenter collection they are an awesome collection to have all matching designs covers and spines can’t wait to watch it carpenter is one of my favourite directors of all time and we’ll done zavvi gr8 work keep this line going if you do big trouble in little China are part with my cash again for the third time
