The Thing
The Thing is a great film, almost as great as the 1980's version. Better effects (of course) and lots of horror! Best price and very fast delivery.

The Thing (Includes Digital Copy)
I am a huge fan of John Carpenter's original "Thing" and I was doubtful of the remake/prequel when it was first announced. However, on first viewing I was pleasantly surprised at how good a job they had made of it. It's true that the CGI is coloured and lit a little incorrectly in darker scenes, and that draws unecessary attention to it. That said, the digital design of the new CGI creatures is great, and pays nice attention to detail. I highly recommend this, as it's a decent stab at a prequel to the classic horror film, that doesn't upset the memories of the original.

The Thing (Includes Digital Copy)
I'm a big fan of the 1982 Kurt Russell "The Thing". Great story, great tension and paranoia - great acting. I was very keen to see this prequel, and it's got the story right, which matches up to the 1982 film, and the effects are really good, but this prequel lacks the tension and ongoing sense of paranoia the original had. Once they realise the alien could be one of them, there is only about 15 minutes of paranoia, plus, the characters in this are quite bland. Overall, it's an aright film, but it doesn't do the original justice.
