A Hero's Journey Begins

Animation is stunning, cast give it their all and you become invested in the character of Naofumi for the trials and tribulations he goes through. I was once told "character development is where a character is either in a different place or not the same person from whom they were when the story began" And I think that's a fair assessment of Naofumi's character arc. I've watched the first Season and eagerly await the 2nd Season Physical release.

THE RISING OF THE SHIELD HERO

this is an excellent anime, the market is folded with isekai anime and not all are made equal, in this case despite being in the common place of medieval Europe like scenario, is changes things a bit and places our hero in a very bad starting situation, then we see its character grow and become the hero he is meant to be, hence the title!
