Mari, Seventeen, Is Dying. Even For Her The Worst Is Yet To Come!
The directorial debut of Wes Craven, the man behind such horror favourites as A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Hills Have Eyes and Scream, The Last House on the Left justly retains its reputation as one of the most harrowing cinematic experiences of all time, nearly half a century on from its original release.
On the eve of her 17th birthday, Mari and friend Phyllis set off from her family home to the big city to attend a concert by shock-rockers Bloodlust. Attempting to pick up some marijuana on the way, the pair run afoul of a group of vicious crooks, headed up by the sadistic and depraved Krug (David Hess). Gagged and bound, the young women are bundled into a car trunk and driven to the woods, where the gang subject them to a terrifying ordeal of sexual humiliation, torture and murder.
Unleashed on an unsuspecting public in 1972, The Last House on the Left shocked audiences with its graphic and unflinching portrayal of interpersonal violence, paving the way for a whole host of cheap imitators looking to capitalise on its success. It is Wes Craven's original alone, however, that remains one of the true watershed moments in horror (and indeed, film) history.

Lovely Steelbook
Great transfer of a bleak but important film, the artwork of the steelbook is fantastic, a worthy addition to anyones collection.

Great steel book edition,to this cult horror classic.
Wes Craven's most notorious, iconic horror classic and . Still remains as one , of the most shocking and. Brutal revenge movies of all time, a must for everyone's collection.

Wes Craven 1st
The 70s a different time for films and film making it self and you can see it in this early work from master of horror Wes Craven. Movies these days are not like the old movies back in the day, They are more creative and you can see it in this movie would recommend It if you a fan of West Craven’s work. The movie transfer to HD is reasonably good you can see green but that’s expected because it’s filmed on super eight film stock. It has some interesting special features like backstory of the actors director and the making of the movie and a deleted scenes which made the film band in most countries like the UK etc. The steelbook art is really detailed and great collectors item, would recommend for any collectors out there too.

Great Movie and Steelbook
I love this movie and the disturbing scenes that made the movie infamous in the first place still hold up extremely well. the steelbook artwork is gorgeous and the steelbook feels pristine and not cheap. The disc is loaded with special features such as behind the scenes and interviews with the great Wes Craven. Rest In Peace. This is one of his best work and shouldn't be forgotten. I highly recommend this steelbook especially for the price
