Navarone
Great classic! Such films are no longer spinning. Highly recommended to all fans of war movies!

Guns of Navarone
An excellent movie though not based on a real story. It'sa good refelction of cold human handling in the insanity of a war, bringhtness of handling at the very momnent, but a fale of giving a deep suppressed young woman not a second chance, which could have been done with a bit of tact, constant control, and the waiting punishment of a bullet if she should do wrong again. Even that is posible in a war if you can think and feel straight.

A Classic
As a child I was brought up on movies like this, watching all the classics on TV like The Great Escape and Bridge Over The River Kwai. The Guns Of Navarone watches like a real event in history, having been written in such a convincing way and with such an outstanding cast of British and American, making it such a gem. The Blu-ray transfer is pretty good considering the age of the movie. The follow-up Force 10, even though having a great cast, was not a touch on this one. Well worth the purchase.
