The Deer Hunter is an astonishing, powerful and vivid epic about three men, steelworkers from Pennsylvania, whose lives are changed irrevocably in the tragic devastation of the Vietnam war.
When Michael, Steven and Nick are captured by the Vietcong, they are forced to play Russian Roulette by their brutal captors, who make bets on their survival. The experience of capture leaves them with terrible physical and spiritual wounds and when Michael returns to Saigon to fulfil an old vow to one of his friends, he makes an unexpected, horrific discovery.

One of the best movies ever
This is a must own for all movie lovers Robert de Niro is amazing but for me christopher walken steels the show as the tragic nick he deserved the Oscar .I recently bought this item on blu ray the picture is fantastic along with the sound of John Williams opening credit music .one of the best movies ever made

I know this is a wonderful film having watched it a few years ago, I'm looking forward to watching it in bluray. The digibook is nicely presented and very lnformative. I will be looking at the other films in this format. Thank you.
