great movie all around
I saw this movie a long time ago on tv, I fell in love with the premise of the film, free diving. Also the actors Jean Reno and Jean Marc Barr were great in their portrayal of rivals from the time back in the old country. The soundtrack was another character in the film. Besides the film, if you want a great place to purchase awesome steelbooks, with great artwork, get them here at Zavvi.

The release to own
The Big Blue is one of Luc Bessons best films, and somewhat of a modern classic. It had a blu-ray release with the directors cut with only french dub and english language only on the horrible american theathrical version. Fortunantely this is not that disc. This disc has the directors cut with both french and english language, and the british theathrical version without the terrible music and happy ending of the american theathrical cut. There is also a exelent making-of documentary on this disc. Top top it all of this is also an beautiful steelbook. This is the release to own of this movie.

One of the best movies, ever made!
I was glad I got a chance to own one of the 2000 copies of this amazing movie's limited edition steelbooks. You owe it to yourself to watch this movie if you haven't already. It's a deep (no pun intended) emotional trip through a diver's life. You really feel being in the sea with him. And the ending! Absolutely breathtaking! (Again, no pun intended!)

The Big Blue is highly recommended. It tells the story of two divers whose lives are entwined and the effects of their obsessions on others. Covers the full range of human emotions from pain to joy. The steelbook is beautiful and is a fitting addition for a Great Film
