Rise of Steelbook
4The movie is divisive so I'll stick to the physical product itself. Zavvi's exclusive Steelbook is absolutely gorgeous, the discs are well housed and the 3D version is included. The 3D film is the best 3D Star Wars movie there is and I own them all. Picture quality and sound are excellent throughout and the extras are very good but by no means the final word on ROS. I love mine. I hope you enjoy yours.

How to get a rise out of Skywalker fans
4So firstly, the film - was it what some people wanted? Yes (I liked it) and no (a lot of people didn't like it). It was never going to please everyone and as you already (probably know) it doesn't but I guess that's subjectivity for you. One factor that cannot be overstated is it's very difficult to execute a clear vision when one of your main actors dies and that's exactly what RoS had to concern itself with, but generally, it manages to get by without resorting to just saying, "Oh yeah, Leia died after Last Jedi." There are other muddled points, sure, but does every film have to spell out every single thing to be clear? Well, did Empire Strikes Back explain how The Emperor came to learn of Luke's identity because Anakin's offspring survived but not that there was two of them? No, in both cases. So some people need to get over some things from time to time. Besides, it also has some huge predictable bits (that are incredibly satisfying nonetheless), for example, the last lines of the film (and saga. *sniff*). The steelbook packaging here is gorgeous, easily my favourite of the sequel trilogy. My only quibble is it would be a bit nicer if all nine steelbook for the whole saga 'matched' in styling.

rise of skywalker steelbook
5the steel book is excellent and delivered on time and in great condition by zavvi. The film is OK. J.J. Abrams has tried to repair the damage to the star wars franchise made by Rian Johnson's ' the last Jedi'. As a standalone star wars film it is just OK. Its better than the last one is the only review you need.

Star Wars rise of skywalker 3D
4Have not received it yet..its late ...but enjoyed it in both real-d & imax 3D with laser. In fact, ordered it that same weekend. Sure it will be fine if & when it arrives. 3D looked good theatrically & have enjoyed the series of Star Wars movies since Day One. Had no problem with this one..after all, happy endings only can only go for so long. The 3D version really the best way to go. Go for it!

The final episode in the saga
4So here we are after the original film dating back as far as 1977. Been a fan since I got to see the original in the cinema when I was younger. I was very hopefull of the second wave atarting with 'The Phantom Menace' to live up to expectations - they did and they didn't and then a few years later we got another trilogy focusing on events after Return Of The Jedi. Again good points and bad depending on your expectations. And in the end we have a full circle with the final scene returning back to the Skywalker homestead. I must admit I actually shed a tear. Again good points and bad - but then you could say the same about any film. The Steelbook in fantastic and sits very well in my collection. Just a shame for most folk that they're so limited in numbers because it means that 'scalpers' on ebay can charge ridiculous amounts knowing they're hard to get.
